    Hello,

I forgot to renew one of my domains and it expired today!!!

I've never had this happen before.. is there any chance to get it back? I had it with namecheap and now it's not even showing in my account...

    Thanks

backorder it... GoDaddy would have held it for you for a couple of weeks... ..I could catch it no matter where it is... is the name even worth it? Backorder with GoDaddy and you should catch it first when it comes back into play..

Hi, in the Registration Agreement on namecheap, on the fees terms says: "As a courtesy, we will try to inform you of the domain expiration and you are responsible for renewing your domain before it expires. We might be able to recover your expired domain for a fees within a certain period after expiry."

    Here is the link: namecheap.com/legal/reg-agreement.asp

So if it expired today I think you can contact them and try to recover it paying a fee.

    I hope this helps :)

If you backorder there are chances of loosing if the domain is good because there will be other people that will backorder it too.

well, if its worth it... then where is the problem in that? ...and GoDaddy is like $30.. it'll try getting it for a year... and as far as I know its faster than the others.. !;D ...If it isn't that special then you might as well let it go.. and when you do decide, post the domain name here! lol..

You do not need to renew the domains after expiration. You always have some grace days within which you can renew the domain by just paying a renewal fee. If your grace period has been expired then you need to pay them a extra fee to buy back the domain.

if it is at GoDaddy you have 18 days from expiration before you run into the redemption period where by you incur an $80 'redemption fee' if you want to renew it
