A few years ago my friend showed me that dogpile searches all 3 major search engines at once. Kind of cool, huh? How well does it actually work?
Years ago before google became everyones search engine of choice i always used to use dogpile for my searching because it fetched a selection of results from all the major engines which was better than going to them all individualy.
Yeah I forgot about dogpile, I used to use them a couple of years ago as well, but I guess they haven't been able to compete with Google.
Isn't dogpile just a meta search engine across other search engines? They just provide results from others last time I checked. Im not sure if they even have their own results. Does anyone know if that has changed?
Does any site can get named as Search Engine if they don't have own database and crawler? Never. I like only Google and that's all.
Dogpile is pretty good and it is a meta search engine. I have not used it in awhile. However, it is a great resource.
Dogpile sent me 1 visitor last month and no visitors this month yet. While I'll take any traffic I can get, Dogpile is living up to its name.
I remember wayyyy back when my dad used to use dogpile. He thought it was awesome. I don't remember what I used before google.
