Please help - Snapnames -> GoDaddy

    Hi,

I bought a good domain a month ago from SnapNames.com. I started a transfer to GoDaddy but nothing seems happen, 1 month passed.

I registered a hosting account on GoDaddy for this domain, until transfer finished. GoDaddy says to set up the domain to that hosting account I have to modify the domain's A Record to the server's IP. But SnapNames do not provide possibility to modify A Record.

What should I do ? Would be urgent to start work on this domain, and I can't even guess when trasfer finished. Can I do anything to handle the situation ?

You can't transfer a domain for 60 days after registration. This is an ICANN rule. I've purchased domains via Snap and have always been given account details to be able to modify the DNS records. Why don't you send an email or call SNAP about modifying the DNS?

I sent email yesterday, got this answer :

Unfortunately we do not support managed DNS service therefore we have no means of allowing changes to A records. Our apologies.

How you could solve this ?

If they do not support managed DNS service, obtain the nameservers details from GoDaddy and change the nameservers from Snap instead of pointing A record.
