I dont think you should quit because its easy to make money from web development even at a non-profesional level. However with software development the only way to make money is at a profesional level.

Im not saying that you shouldnt learn c++ Im just saying dont give up web development completely.

Depends on your interest. Both have its advantages and disadvantages.

If you are a good marketer or have a good marketing team, you can pretty much make money with anything ;)

    Innovation is the key.

That means you are not completely quitting web development but want to concentrate more on programming. Best of luck to you for your new move.

Why you want to quit in web development just because you want to learn something new ??
It would be nice if you say 'take a break' rather than 'quit' :)

Why quit Web Development and get into Software Programming? Do you feel it is lucrative? Why not have the cake and eat it too!?:)

I would pause on that if I'm too confused. Web development is really a gem of a knowledge

Please don't waste your time by moving from one thing to another without mastering it.
Life is short, then make your decision. Choose one way, and be the best on it.
If you are interested in learning C++, then go for it! Later, if you stuck with some problems there or you feel bored, don't quit. Struggle on it and someday you'll be the best!

Good luck, Farooqaa. Wish all the best for you.
