Latley I have been getting really low value clicks, today I got 2 clicks and only 17 cents, this is lame! I used to get $1-$2 clicks, and I was making alot more, it seems to have slowed down.
Google "smart prices" clicks on sites that do not convert as well for advertisers when compared to other sites. While payouts are directly tied to advertisers bids (and fewer advertisers can mean lower prices), it would seem that such a drop means you have been smart priced. New sites don't start out smart priced - and payouts start out high and then are subject to reduction when google has enough data to judge the quality of your traffic. An increase in foreign traffic can also mean lower payout averages.
I think this is the new pay scale with the economy slowing and advertisers not willing to pay higher rates. I know on my adword and bidvertisor programs I lowered my bids.
Yes my regular $300 a day with adsense gone way down to $150 a day. I think it is because of the US economy. -james
adsense click values can vary from $0.01 to $50! adsense earnings vary depending which ads your viewers click on, and it all depends on ho much advertisers are paying for their keywords... In ADWORDS! That's why the average earnt from 1 click is about $0.40: because the advertisers have bid a cer tain amount for their keywords.
You are still getting better money per click than many other people including me. I always get $0.03 per click
When I'll have an average of 10cents/click I'll consider it the best month with adsense. So...smile, it can be worse.
