    It really is the best. I use it on all of my WP sites. Then I always make sure to add the sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools.

    It's a great plugin because the links are updated automatically (after you build the sitemap the first time). The sitemap is sent not only to Google, but also Ask.com, Yahoo, and some other one...

    Yeah, I did a post on this a while back:

    It really is a useful sitemap and it's dead easy to set up. You can modify how often certain pages update too by going to the plugin options in WP Admin.

    My site is almost 8 months old and it has no sitemap yet. Does sitemap really help in SEO? If it does, I would certainly generate one through that plugin

    I use it as well and the only reason is because I don't have the time to write my own sitemap generator for wordpress even though I have written my own for the cms systems I write.

    As the smart man said..."why re invent the wheel?"

    I use Google Sitemap Generator. Just Google "Google Sitemap Generator". It's the first listing...

    Honestly, it shouldn't be that big of a decision which one to use. As long as you use a Wordpress Plugin for generating a sitemap, it's better than nothing. But keep in mind that a sitemap is not an SEO game changer by any means. GoogleBot will still find your relevant pages from backlinks. Indexing of your money site is basically a non-issue if you are building links and trying to rank.
