Klixe.com Arcade Banner Exchange for Sale -- Solid Earner!

    I purchased Klixe.com for $2k over a year ago.

My hosting business is taking off and I have no time for my web projects anymore. I'll be selling off this site as well as 10 - 20 others. So check my posts for other offerings (please don't PM asking what they will be ;) ).

I haven't done ANY promotion for klixe since I purchased it. It has steadily grown by word of mouth. I also currently have a buyer that buys all clicks for .5 CPC (I can't guarantee he'll keep doing it though) and the site generates 1,000 clicks per day that can be sold...so it makes on avg $5 a day selling them wholesale. You can double that if you sell to the public.

Klixe was located on a dedicated server and the stats are here: http://www.klixe.com/klixe.PNG.

I moved it onto another server and never reset my stats program. That server died about a week ago and I moved Klixe again to it's own small dedicated machine. Stats are missing from about 04/08 but you can see from the long history that it's been growing. Also note, on the stats page at klixe.com there are some fluctuations in the beginning of the month when I moved the server because the nightly cron was not running and resetting stats. It's working fine now.

It's on a Celeron D machine running Windows Web with a very small custom configed version of MySQL just for this exchange (uses only 32mb of ram). This machine cruises at 15% cpu on average so you could easily put a few more sites on it if you want. Server is at steadfast.net and runs $109 a month. You can move it to linux and it will work just fine.

I never promoted klixe.com because I was coding a ASP.NET version of the banner exchange that was much more robust, had a bunch of cool features, and was very light on database resources utilizing .NET data caching. I got the backend finished, but never finished the front end. It's actively running right now on a few volunteer beta sites. I will include the code with the purchase.

Klixe runs on a heavily modified version of EPB. I have coded lots of modifications to catch cheaters and also allow the banner exchange to operate by clicks instead of impressions.

Bottom line, this is an established banner exchange that has 197 users and keeps growing with NO effort. Give it a little bit of promotion time and market your clicks and you can make a serious profit.

    Starting bid: $600
    Reserve $2,000
    BIN: $2,500

Auction will end if a BIN offer is made and accepted, or 24 hours after a bid above the Reserve is made.

One more note...if you promote this site and get it to grow it will certainly turn that Celeron into a smoking toaster. I'd recommend keeping it there and moving to a dual - quad CPU machine as you grow.

And one last piece of advice before you bid...banner exchange users are finatical about the banner load speed. If you try and half ass your server or the network it's on then you will literally lose them all overnight. Stick with a SOLID host and give it a dedicated machine.

So how does it all work? I am confused as to why people would visit your site.

I am not doubting your stats, but if people just click on banners, how do you get so much traffic to your site?

It's a banner exchange. If you don't know how a banner exchange works then it's probably best that you don't bid on it. I'm not trying to be rude, but this is not the type of site that you buy when you have no previous experience with banner exchanges.

I'm interested but... you said that you get 1000 clicks daily out of it but stats shows average of ,let say, 2000 clicks on all banners so how can you get half of it?

I have used klixe, and I think they reward clicks with impressions

Man you should prevent us, arcade webmasters that use your program before thinking about selling it. Maybe we woumdn't like to work with the new owner !
I'll be removing klixe banner from my site soon.
    Thanks DP.

Stats page shows clicks exchanged between sites, not total clicks. Where did you get the 2,000 figure???

Sorry you feel that way. But to be honest, why are you concerned? It shouldn't make a difference to you who owns it? It will still operate the same.

Nope....it's a straight click for click system.

Note that we do using a sliding scale too. If a site has a low CTR, with poor traffic quality, they get a lower exchange rate since they're putting a bigger burden on the server. Sites with better traffic quality can get up to a 90% exchange rate.

    5$ a day, average 28 days a month, thats 140, minus 109, gives you 31$ dollars a month..

for 2k, i think you could better invest, i bring this up because i am interested but wondering where else the money potential is

If you read above, he says that you could make more publicly selling clicks. I would purchase, but they only sell to that one person

The point is that this is an established site with a good reputation. With some advertising and public sales you can have this site pumping out $20 a day in no time. If you compare my exact stats to the other large banner exchanges they are averaging around $200 a day. It can be done with this site...all you need is time and effort.

I will go $1500 BIN on this but the .NET code will not be included in the sale. It's not fully functional really anyway.
