Gain weight.

    I am seriously needing to find out how to gain some weight. I am 18 and about 120 pounds. I look sickening. My metabolism is unbelievable and I cannot put on any pounds. I just turned on my webcam and I had no shirt on and I saw how sick I really look. My bones are all visible. All of my ribs. My breast bones, collar bones, every spinal bone in my back.

    What can I do to gain 20-30 pounds?
    In all honesty I do not exercise much and I eat more then most people. But I cannot gain weight.

    Help needed!

    Eat more than your usual diet, have butter, drink pepsi, coke and such kind of drinks..... I am sure you will gain weight. If these do not work for you then go for whey proteins...

    Eat high protein food or high calorie best to make sure its clean for health purposes etc.

    Foods such as nuts, seeds, or even a whey protein shake will add at least 300 calories to your diet.

    Dont just add calories to your diet by drinking lots of soda, fried foods, etc. Try to eat something with lots of protein: Grilled Chicken, Tuna, Steaks, or even protein shakes. 120 pounds is very little for an 18 year old male. Get in the weight room, about 4 times a week, maybe another day for cardio. There are many weight training programs, diets, etc online. Dont start taking anything for weightlifting as of yet. You should get a solid year of weight lifting before using creatine, noXplode, and supplements along that line.     You can gain muscle. But I doubt you'll gain any fat weight. Even if you drink a 12 pack a day and eat mc donalds all year. Some peoples metabolism are just extreme burners. I would suggest bulking up.

    You need to start going to the gym, also look into purchasing some protein shakes, Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein can help you gain up to 2 stone in 3 months

    Heh, I was 112 lbs a year ago (when I was 18), with the same motabolism. I could eat whatever and how much I wanted (mcdonalds, coca cola, lager, cider, pizza ect). My diet was wake up, drink a coke, eat some mars bars, have mcdonalds for lunch, pizza for dinner, and drink a lot more coke throughout the day, yet I wouldn't gain a pound.

    I joined the gym, do some intense workouts, I'm now 155lbs, vast majority of it is gain in muscle. You need to eat clean foods and ALOT of them. I eat 3500-4000 calories a day, only about 25% of that is calories from healthy fats, the rest is protein and carbohydrates (low and high GI depending on the time of day). When you work out, don't bother with cardio, just lift weights. People like us don't need to do cardio until we need to shed bodyfat, which for you, isn't for a long time.

    It depends on your height. If you're only 5"5' then your weight is normal. :p

    Go to the gym and eat a lot of meat and vegetables. And visit a doctor cos it might also be an illness. Good luck!

    To increase mass 5 things must occur.
    More calories, protein/ carb balance, heavy lifting, sleep and proper water intake.

    Concentrate on overall fitness and maintaining a healthy heart.
    For best results, eat six times a day. Try balancing your meals 60% protein 40% carbs.

    Eat a combination of lean protein and healthy carbohydrates every few hours throughout the day to speed up fat loss and maintain stable energy levels.
    Eat your proteins from lean sources (Chicken, fish, boiled eggs, lean beef with all the fat drained off) and beans (lentil, lima, chili or any type of bean)

    For your carbs, Choose leafy vegetables, carrots, raisins, broccoli and fresh fruits. Weight train intensely, three to six times per week. Drink 5 glasses water per day NO SODA

    Try to dink protein shakes between your 6 meals any brand. You need to take in 500 to 1000 calories more than you burn



    Ps. I did not list fat in the % we get a ton of fat in the diet naturally

    Damn i'm looking to loose weight and you are looking to gain?
    1. But 5 packs of CHIPS. I mean those extra big ones.
    2. Buy pepsi with the chips.
    3. Sour cream goes very good with chips.
    4. After all of that 3 hamburgers from McDonald's.

    Take in more caleries that you use = Gain weigh. Trust me, it works!! I once gained 60 pounds testing this theory out!!!! Then my intestins issued a cease and desist notice and I then lost da 60 pounds!!! :eek:

    Drink a few glasses of this a day:

    2 Eggs
    1 Celery Stick
    2 Pineapple Slices
    1 Cup Of Strawberry Milk

    Have that while you eat dinner, make sure you eat some food with protein, remember you want to gain weight in a healthy way, not by stuffing yourself with junk food. Now that drink will give you energy to go all day, so if you eat a double plate of whatever you are eating that day, you should be able to burn the fat off and keep the muscle you are making.
