Hammer, when you take something from istockphoto.com you should stat so, not blur it.. that would be stealing you know, no hard feelings.. just my 2 cents

otherwise u should get disqualified

 

Benny: Thats not cheating. He did wrong by blurring the iStock Photos watermark. Many people use iStock for there logos and other graphics. Mind your own business

Contest Update

Sorry for the slow feedback. It has been a crazy day. I appreciate bitners comment on the 48 hour time limit. However, if you note in the the last sentence of the contest: The contest is for 48 hours or until a clear winner is decided on.

So far there isn't a clear winner. To make things easier I am going to post the logos that I absolutely do not like. These are logos that you really cannot improve on since I don't feel that they fit the overall feeling of the site.

As for the other logos I have a hard fast deadline in deciding the winner by Monday 7pm (EST). Feedback for these logos are listed below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Note To all designers: The entries by cottonStella set a standard I really like. She made "Cook" a different color from "Home" and "Recipes" (Example: HomeCookRecipes). Please submit your changes and further logos following this design pattern.

@raja: Concerning t06vcg.jpg it seems to be redundant to have two chef hats (the girl and the "K"). Yet, I still like having something on the "K," and ideas? As for 255lxjs.jpg could you remove the restaurant information that is showing above and below the logo.

@dezine_gen: I like header.png. However, the "Recipes" font looks like blood dripping down. I think that is more to do with the font than with the color. Also, I like what you added with banner.png, in fact, I think I like this look better than header.png (however, I still think you need to change the font for "Recipes").

@bitwer: I like your concept. Two things I would change. "HomeCook" is too light on top. It looks good yellow but needs more definition. Finally, with "Recipes" the "s" looks like a backwards "z". It distracts the eye from the overall logo.

@A-Q: Really like your logo. Could you provide a bigger image so to see your design better? Thanks.

@cottonStella: Your logos are fantastic. There is nothing I would recommend changing right now. All three designs are being considered. Also, thank you changing the rules of the design, it really looks better having "Cook" as a different color than the other two words.

@Hammer: I don't mind you using stock photos, but please let me know when the graphic is not your own creation. Thanks.

@TheDesignGun: The design and font is too plain for my liking.

@Brainwaves: Don't really care for this look. I did like the chef you had created in the original contest.

 

@tvconversionhelp: I couldn't agree with you more!!! It is going to be tough deciding.
