I'm using my laptop just looking at my usual sites, and I can hear this static like noise from it. Btw the pages I am looking at only have text there's no sound. And if I turn my volume down I can't hear the sound. Does anyone know what it could be?

Probably something wrong with your soundcard, could be missing driver or something. Please check the audio driver in system panel. Also it could be something wrong with your mic or speaker plug. Please have a check.

Thanks for your reply. :) I actually spoke to the company and they told me to unplug it ll and take out the battery etc. So I did but the sound is still there only lightly now. I think it probably is the speakers.

I'm not quite sure how to explain it Its like that white noise sound. Like shchshch. You know when you are trying to tune a radio and that static sound, its like that. If I'm on any web page if the volume is high I can hear that sound. If I tun the volume down I can't hear it. But I just put a cd in my computer and it played the music there was none of that static sound when the music was playing. What do you think?

It could be static build up
Try unplugging your laptop taking out the battery and pressing the power on button a few times to discharge the static build up.

I think something is grounded or loosened. Check the insides.

Try hooking up some desktop speakers or headphones and see if you hear the same noise.

The sound seems to have almost gone, now it sounds like the speakers are on but you can barely hear it. Not like the loud static sound befor. Btw thankyou all for your replies. I'll see how it goes if the sound starts again I'll go and get it checked.
