I know some people are doing affiliate marketing on Craigslist. If you are, I have a few questions for you. What affiliate networks (or programs) allow Craigslist traffic? What types of products you had the most success with on Craigslist? Share your experience.
A lot of people are using clickbank or paydotcomm. As for worrying about if your affiliate program allows CL or not, why not just mask the referrer. Im not sure if anyone will tell you specifically what programs they are having success with on CL. Might be an idea to surf Craigslist and see what kind of ads keep showing up regularly.
How do you mask a referrer? Can you explain in more detail? Is there any risk of getting banned from affiliate network?
Just push the person through a java refresh or if your host can do redirects then that should work. Honestly though, most affiliate programs you find on clickbank or paydotcomm won't care where you are getting traffic from. If they do care Nick, and you have something you think is really hot, why not push them to your own squeeze page where they signup for a "free report". This way you start to build your own list and can send them an ebook/report with the affiliate links in it.
Thanks Creztor, for your advice. Just one more question about your signature promotion, I received your reply to my PM but I still have a question. How much will the Craigslist Proxy service cost? What’s the rough estimate of when you will have it available? Can you give an approximate date?
Who is policing Craigslist? I was thinking about this before. But my fear is that what if all your links are deleted by the Craigslist team. It would be a big waste of time. Is there any better way?
Craigslist is moderated by the community of users. This is how Craigslist gets around law suits and getting sued for what is posted there. You need to rotate the urls you use and if you post so many they do get blacklisted, just get a new .com site and new urls.
Sounds like some of you have had some success. Every time I have made a post to CL that contained a link it was removed within a few hours. Zero success so far.
Your post has to be very well written out. If it is something short asking you to click on a link to make big bucks, everyone will think that it is spam and flag it.
