    Same experience here. I would never recommend Norton, since it was the worst anti virus I have seen.

    I was using AVG free but version 8 is really annoying trying to analize those links that Google displays so I switched to BitDefender.

    don't you hate that, when new versions are twice as bad as old ones?
    case in point: ad-aware. ad-aware, which is a great program, the 2007 version is a major pain in the *** compared to the Personal SE edition :rolleyes:

    i'm actually using norton for many years and it's always been working out for me.. but it does slow down the computer a lot when it's in use...

    my suggestion is to get ad-aware.. this helped me through some rough patches (trojans:()

    I used another antivirus before I use kaspersky but it could not remove some virus.
    Then I changed to kaspersky. I've been using kaspersky for year. It's powerful antivirus software.

    Well Avast is really good in the market and please don't go for the big companies because people taht do make viruses tend to make them with these antiviruses in mind.
