Hello, Well we have our own free web hosting website and I would appreciate if you could review it. Are all of the SEO requirements there? From the feedback which I'll gather from this thread, I'll be willing to edit the site. Website can be accessed here Thanks.
it looks of but If I were a consumer I wouldn't trust signing up to it, looks kind of unproffessional maybe blend things together more and pay someone 5 bucks to make a decent banner
What do you mean blend things together? I'm not sure if that would prevent anyone from signing up. And do you mean the logo instead of the banner? Can anyone else give me feedback? Thanks.
yes logo instead of banner but what I mean by blending is like all your headline images seem not to blend in and the color schemes are separate from each other, it looks clean but not professorial thats all.
Hmm, let me do a more in-depth review, with Adblock+ off. I will be very brutal with this review, but please don't take it to seriously. I have worked for many web hosting companies, and this one just doesn't seem like its got a design that is up to par for a website hosting company. 1. The login section needs some padding around it. Maybe center it or just do some padding-left element to it, 5px should do it. 2. The header seems, empty. Maybe add something to the right, and the logo maybe improve it giving it a web 2.0 look to it. Some examples of a web 2.0 logo are http://i194.pWotobucket.com/albums/z255/DesignChamp/logo_design1.jpg 3. You have several advertisements. The one above the news is fine, but the side bar looks atrocious. Those seriously need to be removed, lessened or at least all of them be the exact same size. It looks horrible. And the bidvertiser ad, just remove it completely. The footer ad needs a new theme to match the black background. 4. Sign Up Page, it needs a modification just like the login. 5. The forums need a new theme so it isn't so prominently SMF looking. 6. The website would look amazing with some web 2.0ish rounded corners. 7. The background could use a little spicing up, maybe have a darkish web 2.0 thing to it, such like this: http://creatr.cc/images/logotype3.png I am referring to the background, but make sure it is dark so it complements the page not defines the page. The reader should be looking at the content, not the background. The main things I see wrong are the header, Sponsors, and the background. Keep colors subtle, don't have flashing images or anything that distracts the reader from the MAIN content. Remember, in the web 2.0 world, the gradient tool is your friend. That is my review in-depth. I looked at everything and did the best I could to give you tips. I am no expert, but I am a website designer and coder so I know a little bit. Good luck with your website, -Ryu
The website is clean, colors are good, you can try to change black to grey background on top. Take care about people running bad scripts on your hosting
