Freight Exchange - Great Potential

    Hi,

I have a one of my big projects for sale due to lack of time to fully see the project through.

    The website is: www(dot)freight2transport(dot)com

    What the website is about?

The website allows haulage, courier & transport companies to connect with the public. Potential customers can post goods they wished to be moved from one destination to another and companies can contact these users with quotes. Also companies can post available dates they are going to a destination so users can get discounted rates.

At the moment the website is not charging so has not taken any money yet. It has been up and running for around 6 months now and has around 50 UV per day. Email alerts have been set-up to go to users on a cron job so latest posts are sent to users everyday.

The idea is to charge customers a per year fee to use the website, but never got around to setting up a business account and implementing a proper payment system.

At the moment the website is targeted to UK but i was planning on going world wide once i had enough customers in UK.

It has the potential to earn a lot of money it just need's the right person to the next level.

I spent over $4000 and a lot of time getting this off the ground so it is definitly worth more than the bin but i need a quick sale.

    BIN: $3000

I am happy to answer any questions you might have.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Is the information on the site thats already there posted by you or the freight companies? What I am trying to say is, has it got any interest yet from the freight companies to posts their details.

Is the idea the behind the site is for customers to pay a fee so they can have access to all the details; ccan you elaborate a bit more on how it works?

How muh work does it require of the webmaster to maintain (I am not talking about promotion but the actual technical side of things)?

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply, all the loads and available vehicles have been posted by companies who have signed up to the website, currently a total of 343.

The idea is to get companies and general public to post goods that they wish to move, then companies that are registered have to pay a fee per year to enable them to see the details and contact the user who wants to move goods.

The site runs itself completely and does not require any work at all, when a load is posted or available vehicle it is added to all the lists and then once a day a mail shot is sent out to all subscribed members letting them know the latest loads and vehicles.

    Cheers,
    Adam

How did you sign up the initial 300+ freight companies? Do you have a list of companies (leads) that you e-mailed or called on? If so, do you have a list of companies for the US?

How many new loads and available trips are posted each day by your 50 unique visitors?

Who are your typical customers? Are these companies looking to move large shipments or are they individual customers looking to move their belongings in a relocation (in the US, the latter are called "moving companies" as opposed to freight companies)?

Is the entire site built using PHP, and MySQL?

    Thanks,

    Hi.

The initial companies who signed up were 50% via an email campaign and 50% through users finding the site. I don't have a US list but i don't think it would be too hard to obtain.

I would say around 4/5 are posted each week from both types of companies who are either posting large goods to move or individuals wanting small goods to move.

    Cheers,
    Adam
