I was analyzing why people trying to make money online fail. Where do they go wrong in their venture of making money online? First of all what misleads most of the people is the BIG myth that "it is easy to make money online. You can do it overnight. You can make money online with just a few clicks. You can make money online $$$$ while you sleep." There are a lot of full time on job people who start out thinking it is an easy option that they can work at with minimal effort along with their jobs. And make money online while they SLEEP. Well success and money never come easy be it offline or online. I would add though that making money online is easier and less risk prone, less investment compared to making money offline. BUT it involves a whole lot of effort, specially when you are a beginner and there's a learning curve ahead.
People fail to make money online because the first thing they try is to cheat. They don't focus on quality content and nice websites but rather on link exchanges, paid traffic, click fraud, etc. Other common mistakes: never care to read the TOS, think you're smarter than Google, follow the crowd, etc.
Some people are just not smart enough to earn online, they can MAKE MONEY ONLINE, but they will not earn online
Very well put, zexy. But not everyone is trying to cheat. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find genuine info on how to get started. Most of the ebooks available is just a regurgitation of the old information that frequently misleads people. At some point, I was even thinking that making money online is like a pyramid - gurus sell books to newbies, newbies become "gurus" and start selling books to new newbies and the cycle continues.
I just dont think people try as hard as they used to. Most people are just trying to find a quick solution to making money, so they will take anything they see and FAIL at it. It is the way the internet keeps in balance I guess. I have been working online on one project for almost three years and it is just starting to get moving. could be because I also work a 40 hour work week, but I have not given up. I also do not read ebooks or buy lessons. I just learn from others here and my own mistakes.
What I honestly dislike is all these make money online blogs. And A LOT of noobs start out by making a make money online blog. They think by blogging about money, some dumb idiots will buy products through their site, and they'll be raking in $$$$$$ Typical mistake. Make money online is not so lucrative compared to offline ventures, but there is less risk, it seems. Less risk? Not entirely true as well.... How many of you got burned, got scammed...online? There was a saying, 90% fail and only 10% succeed. This applies everywhere. Someone asked here, why "make money online" is so popular. Two reasons: 1) Dumb make-money-online bloggers who only end up creating MORE competition for themselves. 2) The MYTH perpetuated that making money online is easy. Says who?
You have interpreted the fact correctly here. Even today you can see people asking same qustion on yahoo answers - "How to make money quickly?"
people fail because they dont take action. and when they do, its for about 5 minutes and because they havnt got tons of money coming in straight away they call it a scam and they give up! If you take action and stick to it, you WILL make money, with whatever you do.
Have you ever been driving and it seems like your taking the long way so you try to beat traffic by finding a short cut only to realize that it leads to a dead end and you gotta turn around and go the regular way you should have went anyway?
Everyone wants to be a millionaire webmaster but very few are willing to put in the blood and the sweat needed
you can make money while you sleep though... if someone comes to youre site and clicks a link while youre sleeping, thats making money while you sleep. But I think lack of determination and not realizing it takes time like anything else. I've tried and failed a few projects, learning a little each time. Im hoping the current one will work out.
It's sad to see a lot of suckers falling for utterly crappy sales pitches from the so-called sales gurus. Believe it or not, I got a sales pitch from some obscure sales guru who "guaranteed" that his method will make $2 million in under six months. And to think that people actually fall for such stuff...
I agree with everyone here, "there is nothing as a EASY MONEY"....you need to work hard, sweat hard and earn it.
There's no such thing as making serious money online...unless you invest the money you already have... Even the internet big companies had to invest money in advertising when they started or they would go nowhere...
