I've tested FF 3 beta versions before, and don't quite like it; as the speed is not that great. Eventually, I stick to FF 2. But, with the official release of the FF3.0, it seems that the bottleneck has been removed! I'm delighted to say that the fastest browser is FF3.

I am also using Opera for personal use, it's fast too and neat but I use Firefox 3 for work because it's much applicable for me to use.

Up till Firefox 3 I would have said Opera... but now it could be FF3... not sure, it's a close thing between them though...

Does it really matter? It is all about your internet connection speed.

Naw. Not in all cases. Internet connection would matter for like game loading, Downloads. Ive done this before. I use to have dial up years ago. I had firefox installed I went page to page ina bout 10 seconds load time :D. Internet explorer back then about 30-60 seconds.

Yeah. Firefox wasn't as popular back then so 98 percent of the dial up users suffered slow speed. But it really doesn't matter with your connection to an extent. Like flash sites, Games, ect. They need to load and would take a bit of time. But i would say 300kb connection would go page to page no problem with ff2 1 second or less load.
