    Hi,

While surfing on the net for some article submission sites, I got an idea to start an article submission site. But I dont' know much things about it.

Can anybody share their experience like revenue generation, space etc.with me?

You mean a site where people submit articles like articledashboard.com ?
If so, i have no idea about the space and things, but i know you have to advertise it a litle to get traffic.
If thats what your talking about, you can download a script here: http://www.articledashboard.com/download.htm

Well the only problem about this is that their are hundreds if not thousands of these sites online.

People have to find something unique or even low in the number of websites if they want to get a very successful site going.

    yes,

I am looking for that only. I am ready to do promotion for the site, but I just want to know if it would be a good investment in terms of making some online money?

Of course it could be a good investment. It only depends on how unique it will be. If it will be the same as hundreds of these article sites around - it will be a fail. But if you will make it unique, will advertise it properly (will need much of advertising first few months) and manage it, it can be success.

My suggestion is not to monetize the site right from the beginning but wait fe months until it is more established. But if you really must - go to proper subforums here at Digital Point and you will find all information about monetizing the website you might ever need.

You can get an awesome script (posted above) To start out with, post your own articles there and some PLR's if you're feeling mischievous :) . You will need extensive SEOing for the site to succeed. But considering that every single SEO post says "post articles" don't worry too much about it. A link on your sig would get you decent traffic.

You can make the article submitter to pay you fee in order to have his article show at your website

This is the most important reply you have received and you should really think about it. There are literally thousands of article directories ooline already. What can you do to make your article directory different? Remember that you will be in competition with sites like Ezine Articles, Article Dashboard and many many others. Your site would also be filled with duplicate content which isnt good either.

Before you put a lot of time and effort into an article directory you should really think about it. You would probably be much better off creating a unique type of website. What are your hobbies and interests? A website that is devoted to a topic that you are genuinely interested in will be much more fun and rewarding to work with.
