Hi, I own free _domain site and was wondering if I can copy the metatags used in similar established websites? There is no problem rite?
Also if I use their TOS but change it and customize it like mine?
Thanks for any feedback// Appreciate it.:D:):)

Why not just write your own rather than take the easy option and copy someone else?

Well - when "customizing" anything, you need to customize it in a way that you turn the material into your own words.

You can try summarizing their ToS, and changing important details to fit your site better.

As for Metatags, I do believe you can simply copy those. However, it could be bad for you because they have probably already established themselves with such tags, and you'll have a difficult time being found on the internet. More specifically, do not copy the title or description tag, as that could be infringement or something of the sort.

In summation, you're better off writing these things yourself - especially to avoid legal complications.

The golden rule of thumb - If you didn't write it, create it, or design it, you need permission to use it. While the chances of someone suing you over copying their meta-tag is remote, it could happen.
