Hi, I am designing a site. And as u know that there are so many sites which have very good rank. I also want to increase the PR of my site. So please share your knowledge with me that what do you do to improve PR?
Adding more quality incoming backlinks and great content to match the links will go a long way in helping increase the PR of any website. Scot
One great way for me is to write and submit articles consistently. This has stabilized my PR in most sites between 3 to 4.
links, links, links and more links. From forums, articles, directories, blogs and other websites. If you can build a good informative site, in time people may link to your site naturally. In the mean time get building links.
get linked from sites with a higher PR and links from many sites with PR - should get you going (also PR is only updated during certain parts of the year, so your site will probaly get ranked when that time comes around)
There's tons of article directories out there. Start with Ezine article, article dashboard and goarticle. These directories have high PR.
Here you this link will tell you everything you need to know http://www.back-links.org/How-to-achieve-a-pagerank.php
Your best approach is to think long term: Only link to RELEVANT and Hight PR websites (Probably PR 5+) Register your domain for a longer time (Godaddy has great offers on 10 years) Write unique quality content Make sure people link to you Publish articles on eZine Submit pressreleases (through PR web)
Buying high PR links is not only looked down upon by Google both selling and buying links on your website, but also why not just comment on other people's blogs, you can get some very good page rank 7 blog articles and i dont mean one or two i mean 10-20 per blog.
There are many ways to do so. More links will mean the search engines will index it more often etc and the qaulity of the links can boost rankings. I found http://www.wecanworkthenet.com useful to help me boost traffic and rankings.
Basically, to increase your PR, the way to go is to find high PR backlinks for your site. There is a ratio which Google uses. For example, X number of PR 5 will make your webpage PR 5 as well. In any case, go and grab some backlinks and overtime, your PR will increase. But frankly, PR does not determine your search position, so do not worry too much about PR. Rather, work on onpage and offpage optimization (ie link building). Use directory submission, article submission, social bookmarking, forum posting, blog comment posting etc.
