homeless people. tramps. hobos . the people who we think drags our countries down. theres nothing worse then walking through a street and seeing a homeless person sitting there staring at what you are eating or worse still eating a sandwich that someone has dropped or put in the bin. why do homeless people have dogs??. make your load lighter by not buying one , or stealing one. then again homeless people could eat the dog... even though its against the law. i hate it when they shake there raggy old hat at you and state "spare change" hmmmmm buy a mars bar , give money to tramp...hmm its a difficult one but the mars bar. some homeless people ain't homeless they kinda send out a red herring to put you off the scent of them being filthy rich and they just like sitting there watching teenager go by. what do you think of the homeless?
Personally I find people like you who look down on homeless to be far more of a problem than the homeless themselves.
Homeless people actually make a pretty damn good living at least in new york. I will try to find the CNN report done on them. Rediculous $$$ for begging.
Most people have more sympathy for animals than other humans. Theres a homeless person in my city with a ferret, and a bunch of the homeless people take care of it in exchange for a days "use" of it or something, because people feel sorry for it and give them food/money/anything else.
Not to forget there are homeless animals in the first place, does not shock me that a homeless person with a good heart would take in a homeless dog as a companion and to try to help as best they can.
I feel sorry for homeless people and disagree with your sentiment, why? They simply do not or have ever had the opportunity to learn what some of the more fortunate has. It is not fair that anybody looks down upon “themâ€. If they had the knowledge then it would be fair to even attempt to judge, but who judges people in the first place? It’s like calling a dog stupid because he cannot understand our world and he pisses on the couch although you never trained it. When I speak I am speaking for the majority of homeless people, even then it’s not fair because you don’t know the circumstances.
Any one of us could be homeless. What if you ran into financial problems, and no one could help you? Sometimes they are mentally ill or have drug problems, but after all, we are just human beings. It is a tragedy anyone should ever be homeless, I can hardly imagine it, I would be scared. They don't need to be looked down on, by people who have no clue what it would feel like to walk in there shoes. I wish I could help them all.
Also I see homeless and hobos next to “trampâ€, why? It’s sad to say "they" drag a country down (homeless).
Some of you really don't get it. And I would never wish anything on anyone but you know what all those that look down on homless people are nothing but self righteous hypocryts. Why do I say this. I have a famly of 5. We had 1 dog 2 cats (what were we suppose to do abandon them) It was me my wife and our 4 kids. We moved and lived in Texas, for about 1 1/2 years when in may a tornado took our home (yes we barely got out safely) (long story on that funny now but not back then) When our home was destroyed we had no where to go didn't know what to do. I couldn't go to work had to pick up what I could salvage from the distruction. Red cross put up in a hotel for a week and fed us (wow allot of help) after that we were on our own. We lived paycheck to paycheck so finding another house to rent was out of the question as we just paid all our bills just the day before so we were down to our last 50 bucks to live on for the week. With no way to get a loan, no money, no other family around there was nothing we could do we lost everything. I would like to tell you that we spent 6 months being homeless. We couldn't qualify for welfare because we didn't have an address and we were not the right skin color or didn't speak the right language and we were not foreigners. Have you tried to get a job with no address pretty hard. I have picked up what work that I could in order for our family to survive. We have lived on the rivers on the colorado, sacramento, columbia we moved from one place to the next when we were able to get up enough gas money to make it back to our home state. Even then with such a big family without splitting everyone up we didn't have anyone that could handle as many people as we had in one place. eventually we were able to land some volunteer work which gave us a place to stay even though it was out doors in tents. Until I was able to find a person who would put us up in a place in order for me to work. Trust me the place we lived in was a condemned rat invested house that we lived in for almost 2 years when we were able to save the money together in order to move to the area we live in now. being homeless isn't easy, and not fun, There are people who take advantage of a situation but for all those that are just too lazy or hooked onto drugs or alcohol that is a different story. We didn't get handouts, we couldn't get help, from government agencies that said that is what they are designed to do YEA if your a forienger or Mexican, or any other nationality you will get the help. So you know what for being homeless I think people if they want to can go a long way but you have to fight just to get there it just doesn't come easy for you. Go to any welfare office and look around majority of the people are foreingers. I know familes that have 10 people living in one house all get benefits from government and drive brand new cars. don't work, nothing, Why its ok with some people and not with others beats me. Being homeless is no joke but if you really think about it if you lost everything today, How easy do you think it going to be to get a job with out an address, get government assistance with out an address, The one thing you can get without an address is food, from food banks, and places that serve meals other than that nobody going to give anyone anything without an address. If you have never been homeless you have no room to speak or make the comments that you do. But we had to fight to get where we are at today it wasn't easy and at times we just wanted to give up. allot of those that finally give up is because they are to tired to fight the system and to be able to get the help they need. I owe allot of thanks for people that have the heart and the compassion to help another person out nobody grows up wanting to be homeless it just happens and it happens every day. You haven't seen homelessness yet it the roof. We have high gas prices, which means it going to cost more for food which means depending on where you work you may or may not be able to get to work, which means you wont be able to pay your bills which means you will lose your house, and everything you have. I would think twice about your statements about homeless people because it can happen to anyone for any reason. I know, I lived it for 6 months.
I would agree, not all homeless people chose to be homeless, there are sad or maybe tragic stories behind each of them, we should not look at them with tinted glasses but should be more pro active in helping them get back to society.
Hey next time try something different. Buy the homeless person a meal and some togo snacks. Just think if the situation was reversed. Would you want help?
I know what my wife and I dreams and goals are, we were helped by people here and there in one way or form and we not only thanked these people but did stuff out of the kindness of our hearts to help them out. Our dream goal is to find a homless person or 2 if we get a big enough place and give them a place to live, help them be able to find a job, etc.... right now at thanksgiving we don't keep our left overs once turkey is done on that same day we dish up several plates of food on nice quality plastic plates, wrap them up and we drive around til we find homeless people and give them each a plate of food. If everyone would just stop and help another person from time to time you will find that good charma always comes back to you.
The desire to have more things is unlimited for most of us. The more you have, the more your appetite grows. Wealthy people along with the government should support the rehabilitation of the homeless people to have a decent living.
If you're homeless without a dog you're not going to survive very long statistically... ..your dog is a homeless persons protection when they're sleeping and someone trys to sneak up and rob them or stab them... *POWWWWWWWW!!!!!! ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! *GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! Ruffffff Rufffff!!!!!!! ty doggie! you saved me again! And it works both ways... they have a bond of mutual protection in their harsh climate that is their homeless world...
I just pity them and I try to help the homeless in my country in my own little way. No one wants to live in the streets and there might be circumstances that are beyond their control why they end up that way. But I do believe in helping them help themselves and not just give doleouts, so they can dig themselves out of poverty.
