How do you make money on the web?

I am giving up my third consecutive attempt at making money on the web due mainly to my lack of skill. I was wondering if my fellow forum members would be willing to share what does & does not work for them in terms of their general high level business models. If you would post a few example websites that would help me too.

 

i was making money on the web by selling scripts in the net, like file upload script and etc.
i did some money also by getting traffic to domain's of mine it was nice, and actully its good income sometimes.

 

I make money by doing forum posting and blog commenting.

 

maybe if your having trouble doing it, you should move on. Its like any other job... if your not good at it, do something else.

If you don't mind be asking, how do you make money with forum posting? Are you a paid poster to fill an empty forum, or do you put affiliate links in? I didn't realize that could be a profession.

That's kind of what I have to do. My long term goal is to have a profitable growing full time business with employees. However I don't have the skills to do that yet. So I'm going to go to school & hopefully figure out how others make money so I can implement something successfully.

 

Honestly, start a blog. Even if it's just with Blogger on a Blogspot subdomain. You'll learn about internet marketing, advertising, and SEO, and you'll pick up some new skills along the way. Just don't give up, because you might not make much, if any, money.

 

Ya dont give up and i know your problem as i was just like you but things changed after i thought of this.

You are on the internet trying only to make money online even if you dont like it...STOP you will not make ANY money this way unless a miracle happens.

Think about what you like and then talk about on a blog or create a site on it, you will be making money and not even knowing it, HAVING FUN.

Start out with a proxy. Not a whole bunch, just one for now. Work on marketing/advertising/promoting it. You'll learn what works and what doesn't. Then you can start on making a proxy network. My first proxy got to #1 for a popular keyword which made me $10-20/day. I've even had days where I'd make $30/day; all of it off of that ONE proxy. A lot of beginners seem to start at proxies, or at least I did. It's a good place to get your feet wet since they're really simple and return quick results.

 

You can make online online via working at freelance sites. It is free to work there so no need to worry about scams. I make money from freelance sites plus I earn little from my sites.

 

If you're going to get started in proxies, people "obviously" use them to bypass network rules, to make the anonymous, but for me at college, I went through 15 pages of google and not one proxy worked, why? They filter the pages. If thats a sort of niche or not, I don't know, just a tip.

You should study and learn the world of business. It sounds like you may be lacking in this knowledge. Study what rich and successful people do, then copy them.

it's hard too copy what someone else does, just because someone else does it doesn't mean it'll work for you, what does work for others or works good for others is hard to replicate because no one is going to give away their secrets - well I for one wont give away my secrets.

just gotta keep expanding and trying different things, maybe you'll get lucky or find your way, I have had my successes and my blunders, I have made 2000 - 3000 in some months, now i am lucky to make $500 a month, but i will keep trying to find that magic again ....

it's all about monetizing your traffic effectively ....

 

Not really, I don't know any secrets, I just know what I do and I do allot less then most but manage to pull around 50 dollars a month of the internet without a problem.

yes those that are making the big bucks are not giving secrets out those like me it doesn't matter if I help you or anyone else why because even though most of my programs I run are free they are team orientated. meaning when I help you out you are helping me out.

and if i help you with your downline, or help you build your business then I am also helping myself at the same time. I am not looking to get rich just put some pocket change in my empty pockets is all.

I have programs that are dummy proof I know because I consider myself the biggest dummy compared to most on here so you. I think I am just about maybe 1 step below a moron in this kinda of stuff and I don't think you can go any lower then that if you can then I am at the edge of the bottom last in line.

I believe he's referring to businesses and a livable income from online work. There's just so many opportunities out there, that it's hard to give a solitary pointer to the way of riches ....

 

I have models that will pull you more than that if you want to spend the money but most people don't want to spend the money. I can show you how you can make a purchase of lets say 50 bucks and make 125 percent off of that and it could take you about 20 mins a day.

Those that have money to spend can afford to take the risk those that don't have the money to spend need programs to create the money in order for them to spend so they technically lose nothing out of pocket.

 

Easy get a good affiliate program or ppc and find a good nich then on out its all about the back links

 

Well what part of I am not the brightest on here didn't you understand. I don't use ppc, and I don't know anything about back links etc.

I just know what sites work for me and where, and what programs work for me and where and those same sites will work just as good if not better then someone that is a little or allot more educated than I am.

Hey I have the programs. I didn't spend a dime til now (meaning the newest program I stumbled across) which pays me 125 percent of what I buy. I am working on having a steady stream of income and it didn't cost me a dime. I may not be rich and I may not get rich but I believe in about 3 years I could be making enough to pay all my bills and not have to work any more.

but that is another story some of us just don't have the money to spend we have the time and energy just not the cash.

I now make money primarily by offering people services like psd to xhtml/css coding which is good cause' I'm really good at it, and people keep coming back.

Though what I really want is a passive income stream like that with gg adsense. I like selling scripts too, I'm a PHP virtuoso and fond of making things happen.

In all and all, I'm a geeky earner on the web.
