Hey, So I wanted to start a new thread where link ninjas/developers from around the world could contact each other and discuss some of the most trusted & NEW link building techniques and strategies. This is not for SEO juniors looking for help; this is for ADVANCED link ninjas to share some of their trade secrets in return others will share their secrets with yo. It's all about the sharing game. So to start it off, I'm from Toronto, Canada and I've got a few tricks up my sleeve after just getting back from SES Toronto... 1.) Free Analytic software: http://4q.iperceptions.com/ 2.) Target links GEOGRAPHICALLY: really interesting topic at SES that Richard Zwicky and Gord Hotchkiss were discussing. Basically Google is going to start showing results according to location. Therefore if you have a .co.uk client you will need to start targeting .co.uk links! Same goes for any other geographic region... think of the implications! 3.) "CC your content" Use Creative Commons: http://creativecommons.org/ to gain LOTS OF RELEVANT LINKS! Simply submit your stories and watch while others scrape your material (AND LINK) and post it on their site. Now use this strategy along with Google Alerts and you can do some damage. Then you will receive a notification that someone has downloaded your story and then you go and check to make sure the link is still there. If not, take action! 4.) DIRECTORY SUBMISSIONS: OK. I have some AMAZING discounts at some of the TOP directories on the web including: GreenStalk, Best of the Web and Aviva. However, I will only be giving these out in limited quantity because I don't want the directories to get spammed. So I'll give this info away to the first 5 DP's who respond and have over 500 posts and a couple green 'rep' bars. Alternatively, if you leave a really good link building tip I will PM you the coupon codes. Also If I've done business with you in the past or have discussed other strategies on other forums and I recognize you (because you are an AUTHORITY) then the codes will also be given. It costs LOTS of money to attend SES (search engine strategies) conferences so please respect the fact that I can't just give these coupon codes away or I'd basically be discrediting the very directories that I'm going to be submitting too! OOOOOH one last freebie for DP's just to show that I'm a good guy... Here's an advanced method of finding good quality NICHE-related directories..... deep mine the sh$%^ out of D-MOZ.. they have thousands of directories on there and if you deep-mine then you can find some AWESOME related directories WITH PR!!! OK one last freebie... you might want to write this one down... Here's another way to promote your blog/directory/article.. one site for each type of content.. here we go: RSS: 2rss.com Blog: http://blogstreet.com/top100.html Podcasts: http://www.podcastalley.com/ Niche: http://www.wiredseniors.com/ Articles: E-zine (nothing new here) Alright that's all I got for now... I hope you found this information useful and please DO share your link building tips as well.
So by link ninja, do you mean linking back in a thread like this? http://officeofstrategicinfluence.com
No. Link Ninja is a term that is used to describe an "advanced link builder".. it's a fairly new SEO term in the industry...
Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately some of us can't convince our bosses that the expense of tickets to events like this is worth it. Anyway, that's the first time I've heard someone talk about using Creative Commons like that and I think it's a great idea. We've already used google alerts to find people who scraped our content so combing these two tools seems like a great idea.
Thanks Zingo! Really appreciate the feedback nice to see another link builder as excited about these strategies as I am!
link building ninjas yes... the creative commons one seems like a really good idea... but then again.. classic link baiting seems like a good idea too
You need to go to the site and then on the right near the top it says license your work. You go on there, make your content commercial and then submit it. Then hook that up with Google alerts so that you can see every time someone scrapes your content and then ensure that your link is there...
heloo....... about Creative Commons how it is work......or you just put the badge on your site or blog and put google alert on in. Please give more detail n clue.thanks
