Do these stats measure up to the work involved?

    What do you guys think?

I've got 54 articles over at EA. Combined, they've received about 2,500 views, published 168 times, and have been clicked a total of 558 times.

Those stats to some may not seem bad, but I'm in very competitive niche's (home based business and paid surveys). I've earned around $300 in Adsense earnings from these articles and a couple Clickbank sales (still not enough to meet the CDR over there).

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't feel like those 54 articles justify my earnings, for all of the time I invested in writing. I try to write my articles based on keywords in my niche, but I do it without keyword stuffing or making the articles useless.

Will I need to write many, many more articles to see good earnings, or will this traffic pick up down the road? I've posted to other article directories, but most only grab a visitor or two and it seems like a waste of time.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something?

You've made about six bucks per article so far. Average DP price is 5/article. Is that satisfactory for you?

    Thanks for the response.

It is and isn't I guess you could say. I'm now trying towards a shift to focus more on article marketing for affiliate sales, rather than for Adsense (as that was what I was doing previously, as it would make me a couple bucks a day). So in the sense that I'm not gaining any affiliate sales, that's where I was wondering what I could be doing wrong.

After starting this thread, I actually converted a sale at my survey review site from an article, but is there a reason why I'm not getting more? Could someone take a look at this site: http://www.paid-survey-reviews.info and tell me what I should improve on to increase my conversions?
