Hey DP'ers, I have a site which is a few months old, and I have some quality links pointing to me including high PR LINKS, and I am focusing on quality link building. I know that external tools do not show all of the Google backlinks, however how long does it take to Google to take links into consideration for SERPS? Once a link pointing to my site has been indexed by Google then obviously it counts, however how long before my links have an effect on the SERPS of my site? I have been building quality links and expect them to count! I know it must not help that I dont have PR, and am still awaiting for the next update. It just seems Google takes longer to account for things unlike Yahoo etc.
Google updates backlinks only before a PR update So you have to wait until next PR update or else you can check in Google Webmasters tool for that you have to verify your site with Google
you have to wait for backlinks till next update for pr calculation but serps do change dynamically even tough google is bit lazier than yahoo n others. The frequency at which the pages on which ur links r deir r crawled decides serps. I mean every new backlink on a new page would trigger this.
the best way to know how many backlinks you have is google webmasters... i use it regularly.. try it google.com/webmasters
Google counting backlinks are becoming internal, when you got good PR backlinks then they will surely count.
