My alexa ranking never stop improving since i installed the alexa toolbar and place their widget at the bottom of my site. Alexa ranking maybe worthless but i value it because it bring my site more traffic.
Alexa rankings can be good for selling ads and/or your site, but unfortunately it isn't good for much else, unless you're ranked really highly. I do agree that it's good to get your ranking up though, especially for a new website.
My site happens to be new, it's good to be ranks above some sites thats have been around for many years.
Well if you are selling links then surely an improved Alexa link is certainly beneficial else it is worthless.
I'm selling no links, to me a good alexa rank plus a google PR4, that's too much for a four month old site.
