I just finished my squidoo lens and have a couple of questions. I have read that google will index the lens quickly because google likes squidoo. True or false? What is the best way to promote the squidoo lens? In regards to adding content, is it best to keep adding a text module with a new article or should one keep one article per squidoo lens? Thanks guys!
Google will index your lense rather quickly. The quickest way to promote your lense, especially if you are new on there, is to submit it to lensroll.com This is a lense publicity service run by a master squid. It CAN get you quick hits if your lense is decent. Also go to squidoo.com/easyboost She is the editor in chief of squidoo and she gives several hints at boosting your lense. In terms of articles, IMHO, one general topic is best, and it should be broken up by inserting things like polls, amazon book recommendations, guest feed back stuff. Hope that helps
Google loves Squidoo. Always submit your lens to pinggoat.com or ping-o-matic to help in indexing. Ping with each update to Squidoo. Stick with one subject but use at least 3 modules
1. choose plenty of tags that are relevant to your content. Also, join some good related groups too. (more here) 2. Ping your lens with this tool, which is optimised for Squidoo lenses. It's best to wait until the next day, when it has become featured (i.e. has green tick on dashboard). 3. Submit your lenses to these directories, which are exclusively for Squidoo Lenses: - www.Lensroll.com - www.IsleOfSquid.com - www.Squoogle.com - www.LensMasterWorld.com - www.Squidom.com also submit your lens to other generic directories, and social bookmarking sites. 4. Write about your new lens on your blog.
You should promote your lens just like any other website. Get involved in the Squidoo community and post on others lenses with a link to yours. Google should index your lens pretty quickly, but you shouldn't just rely on Google to get visitors.
Those are some very good comments... Follow that they all say, and your Squidoo lens should be up high in Google in no time. Also, if you can link to it from any other site, the better.
@Cryogenius : you've explained in right Direction, Thanks for Explained in Details for squidoo Traicks. Best Regards John
google likes some lense topics and others no. just depends what you are putting in there. if its about something really competitive like "credit cards", it likely wont make a dent. if its about "alligator teeth necklace"s you will likley do pretty good.
