are your email password same with your paypal password?
i heard this is the way they steal paypal account.
They hacked into onlinestore database, and go into customer email using the details found on the database.

No, my paypal account password is different. 100% different than email password.

I always make different password for any account i have. But in same pattern to avoid forgotten. :)

I think that was your fault. Be careful where you login to paypal. They are making phishing and they steal you password. Do not reply to e-mails that came from them and redirects you to a page where you must to login to your paypal account.
Go directly to www paypal com.

Verify and verify and verify ... your address bar and after that log in.

I have extra layer of security on paypal. also i have KIS 7, SO i dont need to change password ;)

If paypal add some suffz like.

    1 IP loggin system
    Account login history
    Login conformation email
    SMS verification for login
    Chapcha

    then anyone feel 100% secure.

you realize in a 1 ip loggin system, eventually every single person would lose access to there own paypal, right?

also, login confirmation email would be annoying as hell imo.

Yes, IP logging is not possible until you have a dedicated IP address assigned by your ISP. However, SMS alert can play well for this.

Try to change your password regularly. Use Alpha Neumeric password which will be hard to break.

    Thank goodness for you!

I've received emails supposedly from paypal asking to set up some security features and what not - but as far as I know paypal does not send emails to people (except for the receipts) so I always ignore such emails - that's my secret of staying out of trouble :D
