First off, I'm a beginner at SEO. Here's my big question: I've got a website with about 35-40 pages. Do I need to go through EVERY page and place my keyword on the page title and within META tags, or just for the main page? Also, do I need to have unique titles for every single page I have? If I do any of the above, will this make any difference in my SE ranking? I didn't have my keyword in the title before. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Make your METAs and Titles unique. METAs won't affect your rankings that much, but your Title is quite important.
Optimize each page with uniques title, meta and content. do proper research and create relevant pages having more focus on relevancy.. dont spam with keywords only but create readable sentences in title and meta tags. that will help to increase CRT in search result.
Make each title, description and keyword unique. Title is the most important of the 3, also make sure you have some keyword H1 or H2 titles, some keyword image tags and that you target keywords come in your page text also abit.
I agree on the above suggestions but the important is the index page. Don't forgete to add metas on your homepage.
Uniqueness is always appreciated. so start making all your pages with a different title that relates to your site and target the main keywords
yaa, i agree meta tag & Title as per page content so make unique mate and title tag every page and after that collect some quality link for these tag
Its best if you make your every page unique. Titles and metas both are important so its better to use these both on all pages . Also dont stuff your titles and metas with keywords as it would create spam instead of getting good rank. Just split your keywords as per your page's relevance. I hope this helps.
Hi, As you are the beginner in SEO, you need to know about certain guidelines. Go through your targeted search portals and check if your site is according to the search engine guidelines, if not then optimize your site accordingly. And regarding the position of the keywords in your website and internal pages, yes you need to place the keywords in titles and meta tags. But, see that the content is relevant to keywords. Ketunchy.
Thanks for all of the responses! I think I know which direction I need to head into now I'll let you know how things turn out.
