Quite a few of the "top online giants" seem to be posting more and more "dinner party" posts, but they've got a lot of great experience, and they obviously have been successful using the information they are willing to offer. Here's a list of top Making Money Online blogs. www(dot)45n5.com/top100

However, smaller blogs seem to spend less time hyping themselves and their projects. Not to mention that they're more interested in interacting with their readers, in most cases. Basically, visit as many blogs as you can, and look for bloggers who are willing to help you out personally.

    Problogger is a teacher

    John Chow is an entertainer

Both of these are viable 'ego states' to have and both attract a great audience. If you want to learn then obviously you need to br going to the problogger site. For an example of what an all out marketing and self promoting machine looks like, then check out John Chow.

Many people obviously do though. Even I find myself visiting John Chow, just to see what he's up to. Why? I have no idea... we're a strange bunch us humans, and John CHow seems to know that. :D

Learning fundamentals of online business :

This is a good question . Among my all my friends I have online business. My online business earns me good money. Seeing my success they all ask me how they can learn to do or have online business.

Internet business is very much unkown to them. I need to pass them many links .Most of the cases I send articles /forum post that I come by related to interent business . One common thing I send them is sitesell.com 's many articles . I have read them several times, honestly I learnt many things . Actually in my town there's none whom I can learn from . Its very backward .

Actually for today's newbie having a successful web venture is much harder than earlier. Competition is getting tougher each day.

Today I hv read this article http://blogorbuild.sitesell.com i think there has some good information esp for new bie , like my friends :) ( here only consider the information , not there product ;)

    Among other site s
    I read /refer

    forums.seochat.com
    shoemoney.com
    problogger.com
    seomoz.com
    google's webmaster blog
    mattcutt's blog
    digital point
    and more ..

http://www.profitbaron.com - is the future ;) - sorry for the plug!

But there are other alternatives other then just blogs online - i'm not saying the blogs are useful - i'm saying you shouldn't get your information from just one place!

Start with ProfitBaron, ProBlogger and a google search as well as JohnChow and Shoemoney ;)

I agree also, they offer nothing, its like show-boating. Look what I made this month with adsense, na na nah na nah, Look at my big fat cheque I got from google 19 years ago still on homepage :D

If they did offer value... what kind of information would you like them to help you with?

It all boils down to finding out who knows what they are talking about. Look up some of the big conferences like SMX and see who the speakers are. Then go to there sites and start reading. It will take some time but eventually you can determine who knows what they are saying.

Reading both Shoemoney and John Chow is wasting time. The latter much more than the former.

    Problogger is repeating himself.

Many other make money online blogs are also repeating thmeselves.

What is interesting is that... Problogger and Shoemoney said they don't make money on their main sites (in relation to their traffic).

And John Chow makes money because he writes lots of paid posts and sells banner space. Each paid post can be hundreds of dollars each. Who can't make money with that?

I'd rather read SEOmoz than those sites for the aforementioned reasons (don't care about anyone's personal life or lavish lifestyle).

As a few have said, reading those blogs is pretty much a waste of time. You can pick up a few good points at ShoeMoney, but they're more for someone with a somewhat established business. JohnChow is a big infomercial, but his free ebook is good for newbies. It's better than a lot of the expensive ebooks.
