I was not paid for my rewrites...I spend many sleepless night to catch on deadline.

I have a passion in writing. I love to write since I was young. Getting into a freelance article writer is a desire for me to do what I love most. Unluckily I was not paid by my employer for the last articles I did for her. I don't know the reason why, she just vanish away without any notice. I spend many sleepless nights to catch on deadlines but my effort is all in vane.I send her several emails begging her to pay me but no reply. Sad but I cant do anything to sue her, it was all charge to experience. Now, I am looking for another employer who will hire me as an assistant to her rewriting/ writing jobs. Is anybody here who is in need?

In that case, not much can be done.

You may Google her email address and see if any other information comes up.

DP is a big market and there is lot of work available. However, there is a lot of competition too.

It is difficult for newbies to get work on DP. First, you need to build your reputation (not those green blobs..:D).

Initially, you can offer your services at attractive rates.

If you do quality work, you will get noticed sooner or later.

It's the middle of June. Maybe she's just on vacation. Give it time.

If you got the work on GAF why you didn't require to have the payment made through escrow before starting the work?

You will need to find better payment terms otherwise be prepared to work for free many time over with clients you find on the web.

For the first 2 jobs she pays me after I submitted my job but on the 3rd job she didn't contact me nor pay me anymore.I was thinking she is good because we always had a chat .
I don't have escrow account , only pay pal.

I hope so ,she's just on vacation but i saw her name posted a bid on GAF just last june 13-14.
It means shes online ,then why she did not send even a smile to let me know she's there.
But I'm still hoping she will pay.

I've seen this happen to other freelancers. Sometimes, the employer is unhappy because they thought you were an American-born writer. When they read what you write, they can tell you are not. So they feel upset because of the money they spent with you, but still have to hire another writer who has American-style perfected.

    I don't know... Is this a possibility?

In the future, make sure that you ask for payment, or at least a portion, upfront.

She knows that I am a filipina because we are always chatting on YM and this is the third job. Why did she keep on giving me more rewrites if she don't like my style?

    It happens, even on DP.

I am still waiting on one DP member to pay me, it's been ages now. Will wait till a month's up before leaving negative feedback. Don't know what good it'll do anyway. :(

In the meantime, got to find more work and fingers crossed that he pays! :D

So, it's time for you to move on, find more jobs/articles to write and I wish you Good Luck!

Well Joycescape, I'm happy to hear this couldn't be the problem.

She has a reason that she probably considers a proper justification for disappearing on you. You may never know what it is, so you'll have to stay positive and consider it her loss and bad karma.

You should definitely try to protect yourself more financially on these jobs, though.

Maybe you can ask every client for (but not 'demand') 1/3 deposit to draft the copy as a PDF; 1/3 to make their revisions; and final 1/3 to receive your final as a Word document.

Also with PayPal, you can very easily send an Invoice to your clients. All you need is their PayPal email. It only requires a quick click on your end to send the invoice, and a quick click on the client's side to pay it.

    Good luck,

Hear to hear about your case hear, you can get hired a lot on DP. At BST Forum there is a section for content creation. Post your service there.
Also sachin410 is right, you need to build a slow an nice reputation first. Start to mix around DP for a wek first before you can start your service at DP as there are requirements.
Those green blobs are good but need a lot of work. Such as mine, I am here for quite a long 2 month but still with Webmastertl is gonna be famous :p
    Goodluck.
Here is the link to content creation

I'm not familiar with getafreelancer, but a similar site, rentacoder, requires the buyer to put the money up in advance, where it is held in escrow. That way you're guaranteed to get your money if you complete your end of the bargain.

The other thing is not to do more than 5 articles at once without making sure you have the money for them. 5 is a good number people can work to.
