Ok. I only got 1 sale today so far... So I went to see my site to make sure everything is up and running. I clicked on my own hoplink, I clicked on ORDER - ans it says AFFILIATE=NONE! So, I log into DP. Click on few people's signatures (who obviously link to CB products) as the browser opens, I see Http://whateversite=yourClickbankID - so it looks fine. I click on order, it says affiliate=none! Hmmm. I haven't changed anything in my browser or my PC - but all of the sudden no hop links get through. Can anyone try it out on their end? Thanks Alex
I know CB had some more technical issues this morning... couldn't get on to clickbank.com for a short period of time, and posting of some sales were delayed again, as for the past few days... but I never noticed a problem with hoplinks..
Yesterday was a crappy day, maybe this explains it a bit, but today I'm already 4x better then yesterday and the day is only getting started. Weird..
I just bought a product through my affiliate link to see if it would work, and IT DID NOT SHOW UP AS A SALE
Thanks. Mine are okay now too. Which proves that few hours ago tracking didn't work - I am sure I lost a few sales
oh shit! not a clickbank screwed up update again! my analytic/ accout home/ transaction are still taking too long to match with each other even up to now (as per clickbank update description some days ago) however, conversion have been at least 3x more crappy for the past week or so. Strange especially since it have been consistent for the past 2 months before before!
I hate it when these errors occur. Not only I'm unsure if I'm losing sales, the forum is also going to be flooded with "my sales are screwed up" threads. Wonderful. nadavs
LOL - yep - however some might be justified - Things look pretty normal to me though, all my aff's are still doing fine re their referrals/sales however yes there is a delay in tracking and has been for a few days, since they started their maintenance on the 15th at midnight... Cheers, NC.
I agree with you - and I hate these kind of threads. However, when a hoplink does not actually leave a cookie - there is a problem, don't you think so? It is back to normal for me now. Which shows that CB had a problem earlier today. People got to my site, clicked on my hoplinks but my affiliate ID never got into their PC - hence I lost sales. ...not a problem for a publisher since he/she gets the sale, but an affiliate misses out. Alex
That would explain this screwed up situation.... Actually its better for the publisher..if the affilaite is not credited, the publisher gets all the commission. If the publisher normally get 25% of a sale, whenever clickbank has a "temporary" problem and the affiliate is not credited, the publisher gets all the 100%, its like 4x as much per sale...or im not being correct?
I'm seeing sales come in for my affiliates this morning. Everything looks all good on my end. How often do these "temp" problems with CB occur?
Sorry alex, my post wasn't aimed at you and you do bring up a good point. Yes publishers would actually benefit if cookies were not set properly... .. ... I haven't seen anything strange with my stats but you are right - this isn't something normal if you know your trends well and CB is admitting to this... Sorry again! NC.
Norb, no problems ... and whatever, it's back to normal. Cookies are working again - I ll calm down (after smoking some shisha )
