I need a logo for a new blog design company, www#Astonish#Web#com (without the pound signs). I have found that a logo looks good when you have three main elements: a graphic, the name of your site, and a slogan. Obviously, you know the name of the site. The slogan is: "dazzling the web with great designs" but, I leave the graphics and coloring of the logo up to you. The contest is for 48 hours. Please PM if you have any questions.
This is my entry. I know it doesn't have any graphic but I thought it looked better this way. I'll try to add a graphic if I have the time. Any comment are appreciated.
@davidelvar: Thanks for your entry. Don't really care for it. Needs more color, and I do feel it needs a graphic. Looking forward to your updates.
Any background-color in mind? what kind of feel are you looking for? or should I just keep spamming web 2.0-ish stuff? a bit more info perhaps would be lovely... Not exactly what I have to go with at the moment. hehehe.
Does anyone know why I can see some images in Digital Point but not others? I can see Kestal's and dezine_gen's designs, but I cannot see offiri0's or Ecreation's logos? Am I the only one with this problem, or does everyone else only see some of the logos and not the others?
FEEDBACK @Kestal: These logos don't seem to astonish or dazzle me. As stated on this thread they are like every other web 2.0. Originality will help win this contest. @dezine_gen: Of the logos that I can actually see I like yours the best. However, two things need to change. First, you didn't add the slogan, and second the font for web doesn't look right. Could you provide several logos with different fonts for web? That would help.
Okay, I figured out the problem, my filter was blocking out imageshack.us. I now can see the other two logos. FEEDBACK @offiri0: I'm generally a huge fan of your logos, but this one is lacking. Here are some things I recommend: more color, a different font, and add a graphic that shows astonishment. Hope this helps. @Ecreation: I like how you created a graphic around the "A," but I am not a fan of the logo (even the "A"). It seems to bland and generic.
@offiri0: Thanks, that's exactly the problem. @IWantBackLinks: I appreciate your comment, and would agree if this was the only project I would be doing with the designer. I project manage a lot of web development undertakings. I do this both for my freelancing company and also for my day job, which is a billion dollar company. These contests help me find the best of the best without having to spend money on the rubbish that litters the web. I have found several web designers through DP who are now too full to do these projects. So, hopefully these cheap logos go on to be more for the designer.
