Hi, I recently won an auction for urban-line.net, and the seller says it is a valid PR3 domain name. However, checkpageranking.com says it is forged. I asked the seller about it, and he says it is because Google has no cache for the domain, but that worries me more because, how can a domain be PR3 and not be developed? So, can anyone help me out here? Thanks!
Non-confirmed PR3: http://www.digpagerank.com/index.php?url=www.urban-line.net&dc=18 http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=info:urban-line.net&btnG=Google+Search (not cached)
I haven't paid yet. He told me that someone else developed it in the past, but there is no record of this at Archive.org...
IMHO urban-line.net is an unknown PR3 status. You can't really say its fake or forged. However if you're paying a hefty price just because of its PR then I wouldn't say that a good decision becouse 1) It has very litle backlinks 2) Not a brandable domain If it looses its PR3 it will become crap. However paying around $10-15 is a good price. Cheers
It's not expensive per se, but I find it really weird that Google has no cache if the domain is 4 years old. That would be alright, except the seller says someone else developed it, and then let it go. Which is strange because, even if Google has no cache of it, Archive.org should. I mean, I have websites that are just 2 months old and have a cache and are listed in Archive.org...
