Someone tells me that this is the name of God.
    Is that so?

Look it up on Google yourself.

Words have different meanings to different people.

Simply put the g-d of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and David who the
Muslims and Arab Christians call him as Allah. The jews call Him Yahweh.

Anyhow this is the Old Testament g-d who is just and shows his anger to injustice.

It's not a name but it has multiple interpretations like:
    The One
    I am that I am?

In Hebrew, it is known as the unspeakable name of god, usually pronounced "adonai" or "hashem" to avoid blasphemy.

In occult studies, the name is referred to as the Tetragrammaton, the four-letter word. We witches have a few jokes about that I'll spare you all, but the important thing to remember is that Hebrew letters, in addition to signifying a numeric value, also mean a particular word that begins with that letter. So "Aleph" means "Ox", "Bet(h)" or "Bes" means "house," "Gimel" means "camel", and so on.

These letters gave rise to the Greek and Latin Alphabet we use.

So the name "YHVH" Yod Hey Vav Hey means, more or less, "The hand that opens the window, that nail that seals it shut." I believe this is a simple cryptic code for the bicameral structure of the monotheopolistic religions in which "God" is closely identified with obedience and conformity to the social order.
Probably more than any of you wanted to hear, but it is a pet subject.

The Masonic name for god - or the Supreme Being as they call him - is Yahbulon.

It's actually meaningless corruption of various other historical names for God.
