Ok, so my next goal for one of my sites is to get 1000 visitors a day. I am at about 300 now. I have done SEO, social bookmarking, articles, etc. What can I do to reach this goal and is it possible?
Start giving away good free content or resources. Then get your forum buddies to help drive up it's popularity through social bookmarking sites. Could help you out. Sorry, couldn't click on your sig to help you out.
Im deffinately interested in this too, Im about to set up my first site and would love some info on increasing my visitors. Any info would be greatly appreciated ^_^
what is the niche of your site. get some viral content/ Link bait content which you can think can make up to the 1st page of Digg and just keep adding quality content and you will get there.
PPC advertising via Adwords Link baits / attention whoring on bigger sites More quality content to retain readership/current traffic Better SEO
Is it for that turnerplaza.com site in your signature? If so: First thing I notice is that it's loading really slow. Some suggestions on what to do: Consider some advertising via AdBrite. They have an entire section of automotive websites (over 400). I don't know about the overall quality of all of them, but I checked out the first one - it's only $0.48CPM and they have thousands per day to sell. Spend $1 to get 2000 impressions on that site (law of averages is that you'll see about 20 clicks/day from that). For 1 month of doing this, you'll spend $30 to get 60,000 impressions and about 600 clicks - that's only $0.05/click on average if you get a 1% CTR. Link: http://www.adbrite.com/mb/dir.php?a=1.1107&search= Cost: Whatever reasonable budget you are willing to put into it ----------------- Look for some auto forums and start posting help content on them. After you get 50 or so posts, add a basic signature link to your account, and slowly work you way in. I won't give any specific forums, as there are thousands of auto forums out there with thousands of users on them. Cost: FREE ---------------- Start posting comments of blogs that talk about cars. One that immediately jumps to mind is www.autoblog.com They get about 50 comments per posting, so they are definately getting alot of readers. Remember not to come across as spammy, just be friendly and helpful and discreet about your links. Cost: FREE So there you go. 2 free methods, and 1 cheap method. Do those and you should easily hit your 1000 visits goal.
thanks for all the help. I have upgraded my hosting, but it still seems to be slow. I will see what I can do more.
I agree . By doing all the SEO secrets you will gain organic traffic which will boost you in goole SERP.
Examine your blog and find out its weaknesses. Remove them and go ahead. You're on the right way to GLORY...
first i would say it would be a good idea to get pay per clicks ads in like google serch under a keyword of the shoe and link right to that shoe but in the information about the site say how cheap it is and say the price that way clicks will be beacuse people want to buy eg turing in more sales. you site loads way to slow more then the time people would wait for the site to load if you site dose not load with in 10 secs people will just leave as they dont want to wait hope this some help to you good luck with this and a nice lookig site
John Chow is an idiot that just pimps himself out. Very rarely does his site actually offer anything beyond "hey look, I made $XX,XXX this month!". Lame. Back to the point though. Take a look at this speed report I ran for you: Some things to take away from the report: The very last line - your page size is about 500k. That's why your site is loading so slow. You've got 40 images showing up (sure doesn't look like that many, but you do) Also look as the Download Times...that's horrendous. Most likely due to your images. I'd highly recommend redoing some of your HTML, and then run this test again to try and improve your overall loading times. The report above comes from the following free speed tester, it's one of the best out there: http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/index.html
If your website is blog or something else then start bookmarking your contents to some major sites and buy some banner from high trafic website , use some PPC campaign.... And last but not the least read this forum very nicley.
make small reports on your niche. Make videos and use free software (tubemongle i think) to send videos to loads of site. Can build alot of traffic that way
Find related blogs/sites and get links from them or post comments wherever possible. Classified ads is another way as well.
