Hi, I was just wondering. There's alot of companies out there that promise stuff like link baiting, search engine ranking boostings and charge an arm and a leg for it. Is this really required? I mean do you really have to pay somebody thousands of dollars to increase your search engine rankings?
No, it is not required. There are a lot of resources out there that will teach you the basics of SEO and you can get most of the techniques in place that will help your rankings. Having been in the SEO industry for over 5 years now I can tell you that I never really felt like I had a real grasp on SEO until I had optimized about a lot of websites and seen the results of the optimization. That is where the value of an experienced SEO company comes in.
Nope, you can learn most techniques from reading SEO Blogs like the one in my blog spot. You can also pick up a lot of ideas from being part of forums like DP. If you have the time and are willing to learn, you get much better results from doing it yourself. You will know where you links are going and how you did it.
SEO takes time. That's where these companies make their money. After 6 months and still not in the top ten, you've just used up all of your savings.
Yes it is really important especially when your business is new and rely more on online customers. SEO is the life of your business even if how catchy your website and how cheap are your products, as long as your not doing SEO for it your website is useless.
It is only important if you didn't know even a single thing about SEO. SEO is a way of letting the world know that your site exist and this is the promise you will get by SEO companies. SEO wasn't a hard to learn, anyone in this world can study and learn this optimization.
No one can guarantee top 10 in google and all. They can get work for that.SEO is required if you want your sites to be viewed by others.
I would say if your a professional corporate company it's 100% a must do! if you a blogger or writer, small - medium sized website I would say no and build your own SEO network! Use the money you saved from not buying seo and become a publisher at an affiliate network paying 45 cents per registration. Key word placement is NOT EASY but you can do it check this out, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=891920
Is seo company required for companies? The answer is YES! especially if it is really a huge business, let's say a real estate! If you are starting, conventional marketing like billboards, ads, and others are good but they are not the best choice. Internet Marketing will be the best way to promote your business. That's why there are lots of site that are SEO for them to have a lot of visitors and customers. But if you are a blogger, you can easily start studying bout seo and begin your own optimization to your site. You can do it on your own if you are dedicated to what you are doing.
It really depends on how much time you want to spend on a certain project, so If you can all the link building, viral content/videos and get natural links with social media. If you can do all this it is great, But at some point of time we need to scale up campaigns and that is when outsourcing your seo becomes a need and looks profitable. Like they TIME = Money
Why not if it helps to promote your site? It's an investment to your business. It requires money. One thing is difficult to cope with. There are a lot of cheats in the net!
Before choosing any firm for link building must go through the portfolio and SEO results. There is no need to invest thousands of dollars. There are so many firms who will provide you the best service in less than thousand dollars. SEO is an on going process and need maintenance.
Matt Cutts was asked "Does SEO really help?" His answer was "it does to a certain extent". IMO, Matt meant that yes, having relevant words/phrases in the right places; Title, etc will help, but beyond that, no. Furthermore, SEO is not link building and SEO is not promoting the site, as some posters have suggested. SEO is just optimization of the site/pages for the search engines. Fact is, if you put something really useful or really cool on your site, you won't need to do shit and it will take off like a bat out of hell. If you start up a ecommerce site (shopping site), like ten million other wishful thinkers around the world, you're in for a tough ride. Bompa
Well if you hav the time, patience and expertise in the subject you can go ahead and do it otherwise a experienced co is a good bet
You can also do it..for it you have study and learn about it. But yes! if you like to cut your efforts to learn it..it's better having an expertise company for doing all that to you. and Before hiring any company...check their clients and work.
There are no real 'trade' secrets that aren't widely available on the web, it just takes research and time. If you are prepared to study there is no reason why you cannot achieve as good as, if not better rankings than an SEO company. At the end of the day you will probably spend more quality time on your own project than an SEO agency who has 100's of clients.
it does help of course. but you can learn them without the need to pay. currently my site is ranked top 10 in some of the finance keywords
