I dont think anyone would be prepared to give 10 months revenue for a site that is 2 weeks old.

Keep it for 3 months see how its going then maybe try sitepoint but if the site is still growing maybe hang onto it.

I agree, the site needs some tenor and some consistent earnings over a period of time with good traffic stats and organic referrals/links/pr before the 10 month type equation comes into play.

obviously it has started well and could be a great long time earner, maybe appraise again in 3/4 months with some lengthier stats, meanwhile I guess you'll just have to enjoy the $$ :)

OK, just my thoughts, I'll stick my neck out, plenty of more experienced than I here.

assumptions would be $80k per month rev, no evidence of traffic referrals yet posted (you could be spending $60k per month on adwords), no pr, no alexa (it does count to some).

compared to a mature site that would have to have a good pr and alexa to make that money at $80k per month then one would have to look at around 10x rev so $800k

SO come back to our assumptions and come to around 2/3 month maybe?? $160k - $240k

BUT - two things I would say, DP probably not the place to sell this site, maybe Sitepoint. Also, and no offense, but you only have 1 itrader and screen shots can be rigged so maybe best anyway to sell via a broker for that sort of site.

Sounds like you have a good product there good luck

can't stay off to the CB forum to see what happening!! ;)

Ok I'll throw in my $0.02 not saying any of this is true, just being the devils advocate...

First, this could realistically be some sort of hidden marketing strategy and not true.

If it's true these profits may just be a one hit wonder that will dry up in the coming months. Personally have lots of personal projects that posted huge profits in the first months only to shrink in half shortly down the road.

Since you are posting on the forums (and on DP of all places?) there are going to be hundreds of people digging into your sites trying to figure out your website. Soon you might have tons of competition when someone catches onto your niche = less profits. It's rare to find a solid niche and those that do find them are silly for letting anyone know.

So if you are truly in a closed niche that has high barriers to entry then I would value the company at 3-6 months revenue at the absolute highest. If not in a closed niche then I would rather spend the money on other long term money makers.

Fun stuff to think about. Wish you all the best with your money makers and doubt you'll be selling it anytime soon with those types of profits. If you feel generous shout me a pm with a little info... I'm also a Canuck but stuck in Beijing atm.

**Repped - thank you kindly. **I could delve into each point, but this looks like it's going to be ripped apart and turn into something it shouldn't - already has a 1 star rating lol...
