Just go through the basics in mysql (SELECT,CREATE etc.,)

and how to create a function etc.,

in php they may ask anything as it's a vast one.

Typical web developer interview questions are:

-Tell us about some of your past development projects (talk as much as you can, keep it relevant to what the job is that you are applying for)

-How do you approach a development project/what methodology do you use? (most companies prefer developers to use the SDLC, however some don't care or have other methodologies. The SDLC is usually a safe one to roll with during an interview)

-How are you staying current with new platforms/languages? (i.e. Ruby on Rails, AJAX, etc)

If you can answer these three questions really well, you'll do just fine. Just make sure you say alot of RELEVANT and RELATED answers to what the company you are interviewing with does.

    Are u talking about Resume?

if yes include your projects and websites you have done ,it would boost up your marks in interview...

even if he did n't ask after looking at the resume... you should say about your acheivements to him...(projects in php/mysql)

Also be bold in answering your questions ,do n't stammer and do n't be afraid of passing/....(clearing) the interview..

It also depends on who is interviewing you.

If it's a big company, chances are you'll be interviewing with an HR person and they know nothing about developers. All they do is check your people skills and verify what you've said on your resume. With these people don't go technical on them, you'll lose them very quickly.

If you get a technical person, then go as deep into technical banter as you can. They will know if you are BS'ing your way or not.

If you get a manager (which is what you'll probably get), do go into the technical details of everything but don't go too deep. Most managers don't know jack about programming and database structures unless they've been doing it for a long time themselves.

Big companies will usually send you through an HR person initially to check your people skills and verify your resume. Then if they like you they'll set you up with an interview with whoever is supervising the position, and most likely a programmer that can shout "BS" at you if you are pulling crap out of your ass.

Small companies it's usually just the supervisor or office manager that does the interview.

To do well at the interview you will need to convince the interviewer you are technically qualified to do the job. You will also need to show that you are sufficiently motivated to get the job done well and that you will fit in with the company's organisational structure and the team in which you will work.

You should dress smartly for the interview and should leave home earlier than you need to on the day of the interview - you may be delayed by traffic or for other reasons. Be courteous to all employees of the company. At the interview itself you must be positive about yourself and your abilities - but do not waffle.
