Hi guys ,I know it sounds crazy but this thing is on my mind for a few days and I wanted to know what the reaction of you people will be .As you all know there is a global economic slowdown with the raising oil prices and also the credit crisis in US .So I was thinking is this going to affect affiliate marketing in someway? As you see the prices of so many things are going up and people will be less inclined to spend money on things and want to keep their requirements to the minimum.I don't know if I am posting this thread in the correct section .If I am wrong forgive me in advance .. thank you ... looking forward to your responses

Thats true, there are two things that cause slugish sales within
the economy, disaster events, and holidays. I would also say there
is no time as good as now to get into aff marketing as this could supplement
those higher gas prices. I actually had to get a job...jesus..a job? what the hell is that. I had to do this so i can pay the gas prices, but that supplemental income pays for more then just gas, its like extra income, so this part time job now pays for gas, weekend movies, food, even a car payment, and those that do good in aff marketing can get that extra income they did not have before, but yes, slow downs in any market is not uncommon...

and nothing is guranteed, you could be making $2,000/mo for a year, then all of a sudden your making nothing, markets change
all the time, aff programs get saturated, etc...one niche may work for one, and the same may not work for another. its life, all
you can do is keep bringing in the numbers.

    HI

Yes I have seen it effect our sales for the software we sell online and also for our affiliates they are not making as many sales as they use to, say 6 months ago... I hope it gets better soon.

Or I may need to look offline fo a JOB to lol...

    Thx
    Tom

Affiliate marketing is just a method of web marketing, a promotional technique. If we think about crisis I would say it hurt each part of the economy. But affiliate marketing is "pay for results" method. SO if you don't have money to advertise because of the economic slowdown you'd go for affiliate marketing.
