I've been doing a great marketing campaign for the affiliate product I'm selling, I have registered a separate .com domain for the affiliate product and I always put emphasis on the site when I advertise. Also I use a URL Frame type redirect, for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a type of redirect which hides the affiliate link, meaning If my domain is mydomain.com and the refferal link is myname.hop.product.com, in the URL form mydomain.com will be shown and no the affiliate link. when I'm writin an article I don't say "visit THE PRODUCT to find more info" , but I say "visit www.mydomain.com" I want the viewer to be completely aware of the website he/she is visiting. I'm hoping that if the user is happy with the product, he/she will share it, and spread the good word to friends and so on, and use my domain for it because when my www.mydomain.com is used, since is a URL Frame redirect, the user nevers see any other site url in the URL box besides my domain, they're not even aware of the real web site address of affiliate product so it's logical that they would use mydomain.com when telling friends about the site. I read about viral marketing and I'm wondering, If there is anyone who had any experience making sales the way I described above? I'm using the approach I listed but it is impossible to track if my sale is from viral marketing. Is it plausible that I've made such sales?
yep, that's the idea, because If I don't mask the link what will be shown will be something like name.hop.product.cb.com which is something that noone would remember
