It's funny that humans think they can disprove the existence of God or a god.

I actually took a class in Sikhism and found it fascinating for the exact reason you described. From what I understood, you can become enlightened using any religion. Is this correct? It has been some years. :)

EDIT: To the alien comments above. Wouldn't the aliens that created humans be considered for our purposes God.

You can disprove the existence of any particular God by asking the person who believes in that God to prove it.

Yes, within the Sikh scriptures there is writings from Muslim's, Hindu's and the even the so called low caste 'untouchables' (the concept of castes like this, Sikhism rejects).

So yes, It is possible to attain salvation/enlightenment is many many ways. We also believe however that the Sikh Guru's gave us a simple path to help us attain this and that is what we try to follow.

I do feel that we have made a mistake by not sharing more with the world the vast treasure chest we have that is our Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Sikh Holy Sciptures). You do not be a Sikh to read, follow ans understand its message. You can actually now also find it fully translated into English online at www.sikhitothemax.com. Should try take a look sometime.

Actually your theory is flawed. In real science you cannot ever prove something, only disprove it using the scientific method. I do not thing someone will ever be able to disprove God in this way. You have to admit it is quite ingenious.

No. Not if we use any accepted definition of god. Or are we to alter definitions so that whatever is potentially found can be called "god" and thus proving the existence of it, Whatever it happens to be?

It's pretty much accepted (by anyone with even a shred of integrity) that "god" is defined as 1) supernatural, Not bound by the laws and constants of this universe and 2) the creator and architect of everything.

It's disingenuous to change the definition so that it may be used to describe something which is more likely to be found, Like an advanced alien race, than an invisible man in the sky who listens when you talk to yourself.

If you are going to carry on believing the same thing i think it only fair that you explain fully what you mean when you say "god" so that people can determine whether they disagree with you or if you are simply mislabeling something which they accept as possible, likely or plausible.

    in my point of view
writing this post means that u r not sure of your disbelieving, u think : what if god is really present and it is one
    god

why disbelievers try to make others disbelieve?
    no confidence
if u think believers are closed minded history tells that many believers was much more smarter than you and they continued to believe

this is evidence of disbelievers hisitation

Same reason disbelievers in pixies would refute the claim that pixies exist.

    Do you believe in pixies?

I don't believe in any such person as a the main ingenious behind our race. I do believe there is idolized individuals that helped raise awareness about how superior there beliefs are and made a following by making people believe them too. I do believe there is multiple religions who think that there way is right and everyone else's is wrong and in conclusion if this is the case ~ that there is going to millions pissed at the end when they find out they where cheated. I believe I will die with a clear conscience mind body and soul and pass with out hindrance of whether i lived my life for me or another. Scientific or not scientific .. as long as I believe in what I believe I will die happy and lived happy.

You know perfectly well what i meant, and your insinuation that i could possibly mean anything else betrays your intellectual dishonesty.
