Hide name in whois

    No, my domains are registered at godaddy and 1&1. But thanks for the advice :) I'll look for something similar at godaddy also.

    Private Registration at Godaddy will appear in the whois database as "Domains By Proxy" --- You can use that for a small fee per domain.

    Transfer your domains to Namecheap, the first year of protection is free and $2.88 a year after that. On GoDaddy, I believe it is like $8.88 a year.

    I'm with godaddy for all my websites and for some I've the private registration which costs me about 9$ a year.

    Thinking of moving to the cheaper one after seen these posts.

    I don't know about go daddy

    but i do know about 1and1 bec my host is 1and1 as well

    go to domains -> highlight your domain -> click on contact -> private/public registration

    then just select private and select ok

    :) hope this helps

    that is how i hide my domains

    1and1 is free for private domains

    but I like GatorHost much better because I have adult sites .. hehe :) 1and1 don't supports adult sites

    so I have GatorHost and 1and1

    but overall 1and1 has much better User Interface tho.. look clear and easy to check what you want to check
