One thing that there is no shortage of in USA is prisons and courts. Take them to court, and if they are convicted then send them to prison.

Did we give an individual court trial to every stinking Nazi soldier? Nope.

I say we classify these dirtbags as POW's and keep them in "POW camps" until the "War on Terror" is over.

And, before you mental midgets even start with the juvenile "but we haven't declared war" crap, remember that we kept POW's in the Korean War, and we never bothered to declare war then either. Hell, Stephen Decatur captured a bunch of pirates when we invaded Libya in 1804. The alternative to taking prisoners in war is far less pleasant for everyone involved.

Only a mental midget believes in "war on terror", it is like declaring war on bad weather.
What you are saying is that to keep some people in prison for life without giving them any legal means to defend themselves.

For life, only if the war lasts that long. Just like we did to captured Nazi soldiers in WWII. Just like most "civilized" nations do in most "civilized" wars.

The alternative is battlefield executions, and that's not terribly "civilized."

How do you win the "war on terror"?

Since there are many domestic terrorist groups according to FBI, are you suggesting that Americans should be in POW camps too or your suggestion is only for "dirty" Arabs and people from middle east and Asia?

Just the same way that you win any war: Destroy the enemies will to fight.

You know, the will to fight that fifth columnists like yourself constantly bolster.

U.S. citizens -- of any race -- have different rights (and different obligations) under U.S. law.

Don't be a racist. Your racist attacks on my wife are getting pretty old.

Destroy what enemies? Muslim, Jewish, Hindu terrorist groups? How about anti-abortion, environmentalist, animal rights terrorist groups?
Terrorism is not a war, it is a criminal matter but I don't expect the video game general like you to know that.

I am not a racist and I have a post history in this forum that clearly shows that. On the other hand, I find it very ironic that racist guys like you are so desperate. It is like the old KKK guys who had black mistresses that they had to hide.

Quantanamo has no difference then the Nazi camps , there are a lot of innocent people there and some has been freed without even an apology.
    This is your "civilization".
We have not forgotten the reservation camps.

Can you not read? Did I say to destroy any enemies?

Go back and re-read until you understand.

Of course, even if you manage to understand that you still seem unable to grasp the topic at hand. Look up. See the thread title. We're talking about Islamofascism here.

My wife is not black, and if she were black I would not be at all bothered by that.

Keep up these racist comments about my wife, they show your true character.

I wish the world was simple like the 24 where bad guys are bad and the ole good usa - the good guys - always prevail.

that would make guantanamo and iraq easier to swallow.

    A couple of reasons:

    1. There is a lot of territory to cover. We're not willing to destroy thousands of square miles to target small groups of fascists.
    2. We try really hard to avoid "civilian" casualties. It's difficult when the enemy doesn't wear uniforms. Just because someone is carrying an AK, it doesn't mean they are an enemy. We often don't know who are enemies are until they engage us with direct fire. The rules of asymmetric warfare are complex to understand and difficult to follow.
It would be nice if the good guys always won, but Vietnam/Beiruit/Somalia/etc... remind us that this is not the case.

Of course, we can think back to WWII. The Axis won for quite a few years before the Allies started winning.

This war won't be over in 24hrs, but it will be over eventually. Keep the faith man.

Why would you send Mullah Omar anywhere? If he's committed any crimes, they are Afghani. Again, you're conflating Taliban with 9/11.

As far as Bin Laden (if he exists, and if he is alive) then he should not be sent to Guantanamo where people are tortured and any evidence tainted. He should be treated like royalty in the prison system until he has been tried.

I think we hired a few thousand of them.

Sure, but to make it simple, you need simple minded objectives like 24. Kill bad guy.

In the real world, we're going bankrupt fighting a war we can't pay back to the Chinese, in the wrong country, and with no hard and fast goals, except removing Saddam from power, a milestone we reached years ago.

While some folks on the forum like screaming "righteousness" and "terist", the reality is that these chickenhawks (who thankfully are much fewer in number these days) won't put their own butts on the line, and are endorsing a strategy of weakening America by creating the security risk of Chinese sponsored insolvency.

It's all "playing militia in the woods" for some guy, not realizing that the only people benefiting from this are the war profiteers.

Most people connects 9/11 to OBL. But the fact is he is not wanted by FBI for the acts of 9/11. FBI have said many times that they don't have any proofs of OBL involvement in WTC attacks. Check OBL page on FBI's website. Just a Bush administration propoganda.

Bill Clinton and Janet Reno thought that Al Qaeda and Bin Laden were a crimminal matter after the first World Trade Tower attack in 1993. Of course they were wrong as evident by the 3,000 deaths on September 11, 2001 due to terrorist attacks.

The 9-11 attacks were planned in Afganistan and Mullah Omar knew about them.

The Guantanamo, Cuba POW facility is a perfect place for Bin Laden. He doesn't deserve to set foot on American soil.

Bush knew about them too. He was warned months in advance that Al Queda was setting up a major domestic terror operation.

That still doesn't justify violating the law and human rights for Omar. If he has done wrong, he should be convicted and punished.
Same thing with Bin Laden. He should be tried, convicted and punished. What you are talking about is not only unjust, it's barbaric.

Pakistan secret service ISI support taliban and al-qaeda.

Taliban getting training inside pakistan then come to Afghanistan , attack coalition forces, commite suicide bombing and other crimes , then run back and hide inside Pakistan.

Coalition forces getting tired of this as US helps billions$ to pakistan to fight terrorism but its not doing much , instead it suign peace deal with taliban.

Thats why some weeks ago USA hit Pakistan and killed its soldiers just to put more pressure on Musharaf.

That's ridiculous. That's not the way we roll.

Combat is nasty and confusing. People get hurt -- sometimes the wrong people.

This is not the kind of pressure we want to put on Musharraf. The facts of this event are not known, but what is known is that this event damaged cooperation between the U.S. and an important ally.
