Trying to revive an Electronics/Computers Forum

I am trying to revive this Electronics and Computers Forum.
Do you have any advice? Can you offer any help?

Try hiring posters to make the forum seam more active at first.

 

You need to get some quality posts in then get traffic. Make posts yourself and get your friends to do it or even create several accounts. Hopefully new visitors will see the quality discussion and join in. When you start to get some new registrations a contest could help.

 

Contests are also good if you can sponsor one for an established blog. And do I know you from somewhere, name is very familiar.

 

Group your forums together into broader forums. They will seem much more active. Only split them up when they get too busy.

10 posts/day will look like nothing spread over 5 forums, but look like much more if all in the same forum. You get the idea!

Contest help lot of times to get post and some activity. I have run some contest in my forum with good success.

 

Does the forum die down after the contest has ended?
