Google Pagerank update Q2 2008

Gerhard Denouncier from Google said it started a week ago and finished yesterday.

 

what do you mean? it already occur? and it finished yesterday?I didn't notice any changes!

They told me that every time they go to start one, a stupid thread like this one pops up and blows their cover so they postpone it!

 

I had a pr change last week and also had another one on June 12th.

 

Why you all are so eager about it.I dont think it have any result on serp.
During last update,my blog's pr improved but its serp went low

 

Hi, my web lost several position three weeks ago up to second page and move between 11 to 14 position, I lost backlinks (eg. now DMOZ is not index).

 

The time used to be around 3 months. So it can be after that time after last update that was in 'april end-may start'.

 

there is nobody that know the date of the next PR update, only Google.

 

May be someone here is working in google and let us know when it is coming

 

Matts going to the bahamas for a few weeks but he says he'll try to make some time for it when he gets back as long as his flight isn't delayed again.

I can't believe the absolute rubbish I am reading in this thread. Why are threads like this not deleted by the moderators?

Google internally update PR etc every day and incoporate that new PR into the search rankings every day. They do not update PR every 3-4 months. They have been doing it that way for 3-4 years now.

What they do do is export a historical snapshot of that internal PR to the toolbar every 3-4 months (or so). Thats not an update! By the time we get it in the toolbar, itrs estimated to be as old as 2 weeks.

Why are so many waiting for the export of PR? Search rankings will not change then (as its already been factored in). Its a "non-event".

Every one don't have knowledge like you man. So, these types of thread are necessary. Can you believe there are lots of newbie here and want to get basic knowledge. Where they should go for ? They came here for learning and why not we should start these threads

 

Perhaps because they have better things to do than read this crap, as should you if it irritates you so much.

 

I think many of us feel a bit excite to see results of our work( 1-2 months ago) exported to google toolbar ,even me and you know that dp staffs allow only one active and official google update thread. (so please merge or close this topic if you feel this is not the first of official google update thread for q2)

 

But why start so many new threads on it and not just read the existing ones. There has been about 4 new threads on this in the last 2 days!
