I have 2 sites. Smaller site specializes only in candy, but same items are on our main site among many other products. Will Google frown upon? Not spam and not interlinking. Any thoughts?
I don't think so, if another site is having different content, design could be the same there is no any problem with it.
if both sites having different and unique content than its fine. do not clock the pages from one to another.
is it duplicate content on both sites or is it unique for each one? if its unique for each one you should not worry at all but if it is duplicate change the content on one of the sites or get rid of one.
I think....Google will only penalize your site if it's totally duplicate in content with your main site.
yes.. there's no problem at all as long as the content is diffrent. i have a friend who has 5 sites and she is promoting almost the same products.
Unique content on the pages will be beneficial for you in seo. If the content of the both websites are same then only one will perform well.
yes as most of already stated its not bad to have two sites.. but they should not be having same content..if you can have more than two sites also but each should be having unique content..
If you have unique content of both sites then there is no problem but make sure your content is unique and have quality.
Content is still king! make it unique and relevant! then, there won't be a problem. In your case, it is alright as long as not all the content are really a duplicate of the other page. It won't be considered as spam, but remember that be careful on same items you add up on your two sites.
Thanks for your comments. The sites are the links shown below. I have modified copy on every item, landing page, tags, etc. Same sku # and prices on products, though.
I think no need to change your content as there are many similar sites like this all over web.... Just change your design as users may think it as two different sites...
nope goolge don't mind , i've visited the site and adjusting your main products is good, almost a two different site... as long as their is no the same product content it is good to go....
Not trying to be critical.. but I think nearly ever post so far has said the same thing or very similar at that.. so maybe suggest something different or don't suggest it if it's been repeated like 10 times allready?
