Pakistan militiamen are the source of troubles for Afghanistan and India ......... and America.
Saudi Arabia used to give millions to support Islamic schools in Pakistan Taleban style for many years up to 9/11. Those Islamic militia men and talebans are pretty much same thing ......

Seems like those that US supports hurt US the most.

    LOL.

What army is he sending? He and his army hardly dare to get of towns, let alone go to Pakistan. I think the news should read like this:

Afghan President Hamid Karzai is threatening to send Nato troops after Taliban leaders hiding in the Pakistani tribal areas.

3rd US Special Forces Group has trained a 3,500-strong elite Afghan commando force. Karzai can send the commando battalions to hunt the taliban in the Pakastani tribal areas.

The US wasn't suppling arms and training to the taliban. The taliban movement was founded in Kandahar in 1994 and was supported by Pakanstani intelligence services.

The mujahideen that the US supported were against the Taliban. Ahmad Shah Massoud a leading mujahideen leader of the was assassinated by al-Qaeda agents on September 9, 2001. September 9th, the date of his death is observed as a national holiday, and known as Massoud Day in Afghanistan

They might look good in parade but I hardly doubt that they will fight. I think the previous puppet under Russians also had some of those. Most of these people have family and ethnic ties to each other and will avoid to fight, plus who wants to get killed for only couple of dollars in salary. :D

Who were Taliban before 1994? Taliban today exisists because our world leaders decided to ignore post war Aghanistan and letting it go into chaotic rules of hundreds of War Lords. Ahmad Shah Massoud was one of them, he was a good man but not all his allies were.

"The Taliban were based in the Helmand, Kandahar and Uruzgan regions, and were overwhelmingly ethnic Pashtuns and predominantly Durrani Pashtuns. They received training and arms from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia as well as other Middle Eastern countries who had been recruited by the U.S. to thwart the Soviet invasion of this region."

The U.S. poured funds and arms into Afghanistan and "by 1987, 65,000 tons of U.S.-made weapons and ammunition a year were entering the war".

Thats from wikipedia. If its there then everyone knows it.

Yeah it's widely believed he was taken out by al-qaeda before the attack because when all hell broke loose in Afghanistan they didn't want his influence to be present.

It is just a bit of hot air to ease the pressure on the USA after the friendly fire that killed the Pakistani soldiers. Realistically how do Afghan fight against the tribal militia in Pakistan when Pakistan themselves have problems dealing with them despite heavy military presence.

I would guess it is more of a no man's land down there. Also the diplomatic role it would cause would far outweight the benefits, given that both are USA "allies" against terrorism.

    Need to understand what?

Bin Laden never was, and never will be Taliban. That is the domestic media which has conflated Taliban, with Al Queda, with Bin Laden, with 9/11.

Bin Laden however did work with the Mujahideen, and did receive material support through the Pakistani ISI, through the CIA.

    Back on topic,

    Lew Rockwell asks,

You know them terists , mission #1 is rescue the prisoners....

who said US was n't suppling Arms to Taliban ,they were the ones who created troubles in Southeast Asia... in the name of opposing communism.

They supplied a lot of SAM(surface to Air missiles) to militant groups who were opposing to Soviets in Afghanistan ,after the war was over they rebought most of the missles through black market but some of the militant groups kept it for themselves.....as a sense of pride

they even used them against Indian Army in the Kargil war...(they took out one of out helicopters)

I'm hoping you are joking. Guantanamo is a scar on America's Human Rights record. It's going to go down in history as one of the most despicable torture and imprisonment operations in modern history.

And the Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11 or Terrorism.

Scary when we become like the Nazis, and imprison people in torture camps without cause or jurisdiction.
