Hi, I am looking for hosting service to start my own file sharing service, please note I am not looking for dedicated servers........ I need a shared hsoting plan to start free file hosting service.. ie. like rapidshare etc
I don't think shared hosting is ideal for free file sharing. You might just end up wasting your money. But anyway goodluck..
You may want to look for offshore hosting as file hosting sites often contain illegal files or "warez" if this is going to be a public service. - Marc

What is your budget ? Do you like VPS ? You can use it as a shared account but the whole VPS will be under your control
This option is better, or I can say best. You can't be accommodated in shared hosting, if you are planing something like RapidShare I recommend SunTex Regards
You can get a small vps close to what you would pay for a shared account. If you do find a shared host to give you an account it most likly will not last long.
