I'm looking for some ideas for a blog which I will integrate some affiliate links and information into. What are some niches for affiliates that aren't very competitive, or that are on the rise... besides Aloe vera or whatever it's called. I already saw that thread...

That is a very broad question and one that is hard to answer. I would use google keywords and find websites that have a good ratio of "" sites to daily volume. Also anything that is very specific in the health fields such as a relatively rare disease is a good niche.

    furniture, kitchenware, gardening, housekeeping, etc

just think outside of the box .. look around you, what do you see ? do other ppl need it ? if so - go ahead and check competition

    i love less competitive markets

why specific to health fields? Any case study on health fields? There are big competition in different fields so finding a niche is really tough.

Try using a keyword tool and find a term that has a high search volume but doesn't yet have much competition in the search engines.
