Lets start with - Have you read the instructions that came with the PHPBB download?

From there is just a matter of creating a database, create a /forum folder under the html root, upload the files to the /forum folder and running the install script.

Cpanel has several free scripts it can install for you.

Log into your Cpanel and look for "Scripts Library." Keep in mind, the version that Cpanel installs may not be the latest version of the software. So if you use cpanel to install the script, check the version number and update as needed.

On godaddy you need to do the following:

    1. Setup your domain and server
    2. Create your FTP account (in your host cpanel)
    3. Create your database (in your host cpanel)
    4. Write down all the database info and ftp info.
    5. After about 30mins all will be setup on GoDaddy side.
    6. Try to connect to your website via FTP
    7. Once you connected you can just upload the entire phpbb3 directory contents (go inside the folder and upload the root)
    8. When upload is done you should folders like these at the root (adm, cache, includes, language, styles, etc...)
    9. Then just run the phpbb installer (read the phpbb3 docs for that portion)

    Hope that helps.

    I have'nt used godaddy.
But my host had the facility to install phpbb right from the cpanel.

Look for "fantastico" in your cpanel.
